    Hi Lee

    Well done on your success.

I was not in this position with mine via other company that was dealt with by the FSCS, as mine was on a settled loan, but I believe if you no longer require the ppi to continue then you would cancel.

I would if you get the chance (as its a very long thread this one) check it through because I understand it may have been the same for others here that were in your position, but if in doubt do contact the FSCS to make sure on this.

    Again well done!:T

Yesterday i received the form from FSCS to claim the PPI back from Picture loans. I can see that the name is complete different 1st stop finance service LTD. I filled in the form that it was Picture loans. But maybe they are trading now under this name.

Just another question. If the loan was secured against the house does you need a solicitor to have this done? This was mention as one of the questions from FSCS if the loans was set against the house.

    Thanks

    Hi there

It was like mine was Eloans, but it came under Twopart limted, so they must be under the same umbrella as such.

In regards of a solicitor, ours was secured against the house and we did not need one.

    Good luck on this.;)

Received a letter from Deloitte who is dealing with the PPI claim against Picture Loans. The form i submitted was from FSCS.

They said " the initial reviews have now been completed. We will begin processing your claim shortly"

Does that mean that the claim is successful?

At least it is in motion.

    Hi
My case against Wilmslow Financial was upheld but 2 adjudicators at the FOS last year but Wilmslow appealed so I've been in the queue for an ombudsman for the past 8 months. I've just heard the bad news that Wilmslow have now gone into administration (and it's mentioned on the FSCS website). Can anyone tells me what happens next and what sort of timescales I'm looking at?
    Many thanks

I think you now have to wait for them to be declared in default before the FSCS will be able to deal with the complaint?

Any idea how long that kind of thing takes or is it a 'how long is a piece of string' situation? Also if my case against Wilmslow was successful with the FOS is it a given that things will go my way with the FSCS?

Buns mum, I noticed on Companies house that Freedom had two different companies named Wilmslow Financial Services and it would only be determined with yours by what the company reg number was with your paperwork. It will be difficult for the FSCS I would think for them to see what Freedom company sold what. Do you have any paperwork with the company number on?

All sounds a bit dodgy! I've checked the company number on my original Freedom paperwork and it's definitely the one now showing in administration on the Companies House website. I assume that's a good thing?
