I'm just completing my FSCS form and need to have it back by 10th September.

Could someone please help me with a couple of queries:

It asks for insurance policy details; name of insurer, policy number, start date etc and cost of total premium. Is this my whole loan amount or just the PPI side of things?

It also asks for loan details under a seperate question. I take it this is JUST the orginal loan figure without the PPI?

It also asks "who did you contact when you realised you may have a claim against the Firm and on what date. Please give details of all the people, firms or organisations......such as FOS". Not sure what to answer here as I only contacted FSCS when I discovered (through this site) that I might have a claim. I haven't got a specific name as I just phoned to request the form.

It also asks "what was the outcome"? Again....how do I answer this as there is no outcome yet.

    Thanks.

    Hiya

I cannot remember the FSCS forms too well now, but what I would do is write all, but make it clear what is the loan and the ppi, then the total of them both together, just to cover all ground.

Your second paragraph sounds about right.

In the 3rd query, I think you should state that you were informed to take this straight to the FSCS, due to the loan business no longer running.
Just make them aware that you then spoken to one of the FSCS colleagues who just sent you the claim form.

Then say, you have no outcome details to give, as this is still ongoing via the FSCS.

    Hope this helps, good luck.:)

Thanks Di...that's exactly what I did do. These forms can be a bit confusing and I just don't want to jeopardise anything by not getting something right.

Form being copied and sent (Special Del) with copies of letters from Picture tomorrow. Fingers crossed. Anyone know how long claims are taking to settle at the moment?
YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)

really....it's not hard to understand :T

    Your welcome Suzy

You will be okay, and good one.:T

If the company are already in default, it should not take as long as it would have whilst waiting for it to be confirmed and listed by the FSCS.

Its difficult to predict a timescale, but what I would do is contact them ever fortnight for updates.;) Good luck.

  • Do you think everyone is being paid out? Or are they still investigating claims individually? Mines been away for a month, they have just received info from my mort company as we paid loan off when we remortgaged! I presume they would not do all this work if I had not been missold!

Hi mutron, when did u apply? My current provider has given info so I'm just waiting on the final decision!

    Hi,
I'm 4 weeks in now. Spoke with the person dealing with it and they're chasing the loan company today. She did say that, as the loan was still outstanding, it makes the calculations easier so it should take too much long but still stood by the standard six months response.
T-Mobile Default - Default removed thanks to CISAS intervention!
Magic Loans / Nemo Personal Finance PPI - Awaiting FSCS decision
Paragon Personal Finance PPI - Awaiting FOS

    Hiya

Hopefully you won't be waiting too long now then, especially if they have confirmed its passed on or now being passed on to their claims officer.
    Fingers crossed.;)
