I rang friday for an update and was told they will find out what is happening but will call me either that day or monday, surprise surprise no call back. rang them today to see what is going on and they have no news apart from to speak to the team that are dealing with the ppi. It seems everytime i call it is with another team waiting for something to be done. I appreciate these things can take time but this is becoming really annoying now. if anyone has a good contact as the fscs please let me know. I just seem to get nowhere and fast. It has been going on for over a year and a half now and i know some people have been waiting longer but i just want a yes or a no as to wheather the claim is successful or not.

sorry to have a winge everytime i come on here.

well done to everyone that has been successful x

    Hi hun
That is fine, most of us here have been there, and you can rant as much as you like :D so no need to apologise.....:).

I can't remember my contact now to be honest, but if I come across the paperwork of what they sent when it was resolved, I shall post it up for you, meanwhile though hopefully one of these lovely lot on here will be quicker than me with a good contact for you, fingers crossed X;)

  • Hi everybody,

I wonder if someone could give me some advice please??? don't really have a clue what I'm doing!!
My husband and I took out a loan (around 20k) in February 2007, can't really remember much forms etc and what we filled in, I do recall the salesman saying we would have a better chance of getting the loan if we took out the PPI because they generally don't allow loans otherwise! Anyway, I think the original PPI was for around 2k. After reading last year about mis-sold PPI, i started to investigate. I eventually found out, after ringing the loan company 4 times and being given 4 different insurance companies, who our PPI was with. Sterling Insurance - I asked for details of the loan, they sent them through the post, discovered the term was for 5 years (loan is for 10) and that my husband isn't even covered on the insurance (he is the main earner!) So we decided we may have grounds for a claim. Used the template on this site and sent it to Kensington (loan provider) received a letter to say the loan and insurance had been sold by Promise Finance, had to contact them, sent the same letter to promise. Found a letter on my doormat today stating Promise ceased trading April 2008!! and i should contact the FSCS. I have filled in an intial enquiry form and e-mailed them.
Am i doing everything right???? how long will i be waiting for a reply???
ahhhhhhhh, this is doing my head in!!!!!
    Thank you for reading

Hi and welcome to the site. Yes you are doing the right thing. Fscs have now taken over. Just remember to gather as much info together as you can and send it in with your claim form. Make copies of everything you have.
    Good luck

I would post the claim form and all your info "Special Delivery" costs a fiver but well worth it and guaranteed next day delivery.
