I'm not to sure how to work out what part of your payment is PPI interest, but marshallka worked mine out 19.97% of the repayment, and she was right too.
So you would get you original PPI amount back, plus 28 payments of the interest and maybe the rebate deducted

But don't forget FSCS will take 10% amount after the first £2000.

  • if you win the case does it mean that the insurance is cancelled or do you have to cancel it i have found an insurance company that will insure BOTH of us for a very small monthly payment to last the life of the loan

Even when not if you win your claim blakeney, the insurance remains in force unless you choose to cancel it. If there is no chance of you getting your NCB is may be worth looking at.

It appears though that any rebate you would be entitled too, is not refunded to you, but taken off your existing loan balance and your repayments may reduce by a couple of pounds per month(not much at all).

You may be better letting it run for the five years and then look at other Insurers, as unless you pay your compensation back to the loan, you are still paying for it anyway, with it being a SINGLE PREMIUM POLICY.

No matter which way wwe look at it, the PPI amount is now part of the loan, unfortunately. We cancelled ours after 29 months nd it appears £698 was paid back to the loan and our payments were reduced by a measley £2 per month.

It didn't really make any difference to us as we paid picture off by remorgaging, just after we cancelled the PPI

It's amazing how much cheaper is actually is to Insure these loans. If only we knew then, what we know now:mad::mad:
