I bet you are di. it's been so long coming. Hopefully you will have a good night's sleep tonight, knowing that this is now settled, and you can take some pressure of yourself with the arrears

I came home before picking the children up from the childminder and literally ran up the path and was shaking when I saw the envelope. Was literally shaking when I opened it........Read the first page and at the bottom it said refund of £1 103 and I thought great that will do Christmas! Did not read the next pages and waited for husband. He went straight to the cheque.........£23199!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you b****y believe it! Our top up loan as you can guess was big. I never dreamed we would get all this back!!!
BIG CYBER PARTY:beer::beer::beer::beer:

Congratulations on your win0 -
Pengi, i tend to think "i am the only one" of my friends who sometimes has to "rob peter to pay paul" and sometimes juggle payments etc. So it feels good to know i am not alone and other than getting this particular claim sorted the benefit of coming on this forum for me is that feeling that i am not so unusual and that fear of financial collapse is not peculiar to me alone, realistically it is probable that some of our friends have the same problems but i just don,t think i could be this open with them !
A big time America finance guy said recently "you can,t see who is swimming naked until the tide goes out"
Hpw true is that quote!!!!!!
I think you are so right pengi. After all this, I see people doing really well(or I think that) and then say "well who knows" could be in same position as us. If we are not prepared to tell friends, how many others are the same.
One thing for sure though, won't be going anywhere near the likes of Picture ever again. That's one good lesson to come out of all this. Will only spend what can be afforded . It is just not worth the worry and sleepless nights.:odialysis,mammamia,honey.beaniebabe,saltyfish,funky,Gumbi,Lian,doogle,oldwulf,pinknico,Halpin,alyson,Barloo,jadone,demir,netabc,chickpee,dannyboy,tomgaskel,Lozza001,sandzb,di,marshallka,pengi,lynnie,busbyh,moggy,Kim66,honestbob,tobione,itdonk,arrongborne,thunders,newtonchang,mbones,showergirl, coffeetower,hayston,sappy,dolallytap,AuntieDeedee0 -

no one should be embarrassed at needing a loan for various reasons, the loans we can manage. it was the extortionate ppi that helped bring us all to our knees. desperate times call for desperate measures, just because people look like they are "doing well" doesnt mean anything, they could be in the same position many of us are and were, there is no need to hang your head in shame for doing what you think is right for your families. i know people who have fancy cars and houses and most of it is on the never never, there are millions of people who took these front loaded ppi loans and we are not financial advisors and we did not have the ins explained in detail, as the companys made a hell of a lot of money from these policies, so they only told us the basics, we were gullible and that is the only thing we are guilty of!!! SO WALK TALL. at least we are wiser now and we can help others who find themselves in this position, and know for a fact we will not be caught out with any financial product in the future0
