We remortgaged as well to settle, but nothing was mentioned on the calculations about C&G on ours.
Maybe this was because the 2nd loan ppi was resolved with the PPI, Nemo etc.

Sorry to be a pain pengi.

    So they paid:

    Original PPI
    Interest on PPI
Interest paid on PPi from remortgage.
    reasonable rate of return.

what did they put for rebate due on cancellation, (as we didn't receive any)
Would it be a bother to post the breakdown, they way they have worded it.:o

    No problem;)

    Original Premium 18 338.25
Plus -interest (this is the amount of interest your lender has already charged you to date on the amount of the premium) £2656.02
Less - Rebate due upon cancellation (this is the amount you received back from the insurer when you cancelled your ppi policy)£2 022.91
Plus - A reasonable rate of return - (this amount is to compensate you for the monthly payments you have made in respect of the ppi premium) £17.08
    Equals - Compensation figure £18988.44

Then we had £1 102 from the first loan and £5 250 from the second plus this! ( We were very bad!)

The wording for each calculation is exactly the same - each is set out in the letter in tabular format.

    Hope that helps;);)

(Bit embarrising posting up really how much we borrowed! thing is on here with you guys it feels safe - have not told any of our friends etc about the loans or ppi claim so only celebrating with you guys!):T:T

She has until March and they are trying to redeploy them:eek:probably offer them something totally unsuitable rather than pay them redundancy, but can then say "well we did offer you a job. She works for the NHS, so we will have to wait and see and try to remain positive;) I'm working hard at downloading all the Terms and Condition of her employment and anthing that may be useful, make sure she knows exactly wht's what and she can have her answers ready.

Everyone should have a mum like you Busbyh, hope all goes well for Her and you too !
