A suggestion as well send a copy of the letter/petition to number 10.;)

Who is good at writing letters?

Try to get all the details and everything is covered.

I have not read The Sun in a long time, but I take it they have financial pages and editors to contact direct?
Maybe a petition can be done through them perhaps??
I would have thought they would I know the Mail do and the express, its knowing where to start though, maybe a telephone call to the editor might work:D

    Hi dialysis and beaniebabe
I am so sorry that you are not getting anywhere with all of this, and I fully understand your anger and upset. It is so frustrating when these people do not appear to be listening to you. and being told so many different things.

Why don't you ring the Sun. There was an article not too long ago regarding a large PPI claim and I am sure they would be more than happy to hi-lite the problems, They will also respect anoniminity.
Here are some contact numbers, as you will probably wait quite some time before they reply to your email.

Or you can call the Sun news team direct on:

    London - 020 7782 4100

    Manchester - 0161 228 0210

    Glasgow - 0141 420 5200

    Dublin - +353 (01) 479 2579
    Good luck
    xx

Use the Sun search for PPI claims. It was the one for £27000 with Carol Vordeman incolved in the advert for PPI
What do you all think about us ringing the Sun about our situations and see if they would be interested in our stories, we could do this collectively and as a group rather than individually, I think it would have more of an impact than one persons story any other ideas though would be brill:D

That sounds like a good start. Please PM me his contact number and I am happy to give him a call.
I am not too good at letter writing but if anyone wants to PM me some information / format for the letter to the newspapers I am happy to have a go at it.;)
We have nothing to lose with this and if we stick together I think we could give a good story that would shame these companies that do not give a toss about families and are willing to sit back and let them lose their homes!!!!
I have also wrote a letter to my MP about this and will be posting it on Monday. I will let you know of his response.

    Hi all
I have just quickly put a letter together for the press. Not sure what you think of it. There is probably more info to go in, but this is just an outline of our case.
I would not be able to contact the press myself because as you are aware, this is my daughter's claim and therefore cannot speak personally to them about it. I don't think she will do it.
Just have a quick read and make any adjustments you think.
As I say I have done this quickly so quite possibly not that good any maybe need to put more details in it.

    Dear Mr .............

I have been reading, with interest ,one of your articles regarding PPI claims. The case was about a couple where the initial PPI was £27000, over 25years which had it gone the full term would have cost in excess of £55,000 – almost half of the original loan.

I and about 600 others are in the process of claiming against Picture Financial Services PLC regarding PPI insurance. We were hoping that maybe you could write an article hi-lighting the problems we are having.

We are using the Martin Lewis Money Saving Expert site in order to gain as much information as possible. This comes under the forum – PICTURE FINANCIAL IN DEFAULT. If you would care to check it out and see the issues and problems we are going through, it would help your article.

If it wasn’t for this site, many of us would be in the dark as to any progress being made. Some have even contacted their MP’s for help.
As Picture have now been declared in ‘default ‘from 7th July 2009 the claims are being handled by FSCS/Deloitte. Target loan have now taken over the books from Picture , supposedly to sort out this mess!!

I myself have been trying to get this sorted since August 2008. For others it has been on-going for 20months or more.
We took out these loans to sort out our finances. In some cases they where consolidation loans and we have ended up being in more debt because of the mis sold the PPI. And the overall cost of it. This was a Single Premium Policy (front loaded) which was never explained in any detail. You are probably aware that these type of policies have now been banned. There was only cover for 5 years and yet we paid for them over the term of the loan - in some cases 25 years.

We are getting very little information from the FSCS and there are a several cases where they are under real threat of repossession, because of the delay in paying out the claims. This is taking its toll and some people are now at breaking point and they are in a desperate situation. By rushing through priority cases would mean the difference oftheir homes, which they have worked so hard for all their lives, being repossessed or them keeping it.

We are all getting so desperate, any help and assistance from you would be most appreciated.

This letter has been written on behalf of all Picture claimers from Martin Lewis forum -PICTURE IN DEFAULT/FSCS

    Yours sincerely

    A N Other
