Good morning all I have got through to deloitte this morning whoa!!! and a very nice lady told me that our claim is being worked on at the moment as we are a priority but she couldnt give me a timescale as it depended on insurers etc. I presume this means they have to get more info from picture I dont know why when they have had the claim for a year:mad: but at least it is being worked on so a bit of good news.
Glad you are priority dialysis. Lets hope they work real fast for you.;)

Has anyone else heard anything yet? I know that is a stupid question as I am sure we will all hear the screams of delight which will cause a major earthquake lol but thought I would ask anyway

Some good news for you then Dialysis. The only thing that still puzzles me is "depending on the insurers" surely the only thing the insurers can say is how much Picture paid them for the policy and what was in the policy?

Thanks Pinknico I know it bothers me too. I cant understand why they dont have all this info already surely after a year of looking into it they would have it. Also if they have to contact the insurers which is Picture they are not going to rush to send info back are they, I am sure they will be as awkward as they can.

Amersall thanks hun hope its not long now;)

Just rang Deloitte and they send a general letter to the insurer asking if there is a policy, if any claim has been made , if there is a rebate due.

Picture is not the insurer, they just sold the insurance.

Lady at Deloitte thinks only priority cases are being looked at at the moment. She was very apologetic as she did not have the full information.

I guess they need to know whether payments have been made for the no claims bonuses, when and if policies have been cancelled etc as I should think that will all affect the payment calculations.

The thing that really annoys me is that we won't be put in the same position as if the ppi was never taken out because the FSCS don't repay 100% of the compensation. Don't get me wrong I still appreciate they are there to help us all but we would have been in a better place financially if Picture weren't in default and the FOS were still dealing with our cases.

I'm glad to hear you are a priority Dialysis - Fingers crossed the wait won't be too long now :)
