thank you, i paid them 7k for a 3 months worth of ppi. expensive insurance!! lol. no rebate they charged me the whole lot when i settled. i argued for months with them, i had to pay and then send a letter to say i would be pursuing the matter even though i had paid in full. nothing worked with picture

I can't believe they gave you no rebate, what a total rip off yet again. We didn't receive anything when we cancelled, other than a £2 reduction in the monthly payment. From £350 to 348 - big wow:mad:
We cancelled after 30 months when we reviewed the account and realised just how much it was costing. Actually it's not my loan, it's my daughters and when I saw what she was paying I couldn't believe it:mad:I'm sure one of the other posters will be able to help you more than I can. I know that marshallka knows how the rebate should be worked out.

I will just have a quick look through the Insurance doc to see what it says about rebates

Alyson, when was your claim form sent to FSCS, as they are working in chronilogical order, not number order. So even if you are a high number it does not mean you are way behind in the queue. Ours is just under 300 but FSCS received our form on 12th September 08. They are working on the date it was received

They received our claim form back in May 2009. We are claiming because we were told that without the PPI we couldn't have the loan, that it is only my partner that was insured *eventhough we told them that he was insured through work and it was me that needed the insurance more than him* are other people claiming for the same reasons???? i'm sure I added other things to the original claim but my brain has gone Lol!!! Do you know of anyone who has had their claim rejected?

    xx :o
Feeling like we were sucked in by the hard sell & lack of info / advice!
Well done to everyone who's won their claims & good luck to those ongoging!:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

It states, if you cancel in month 12 you get 13% of the premium back:mad: whats that about £1000
Not a lot, so surely if the loan ended after 3 months you should get something back. Don't understand this. Have Picture not cancelled this Insurance. even though you have paid the loan off
It doesn't give a telephone no on the document, or I can't see one.

yes i have put my claim in, still awaiting to hear anything as with most people. It is all so very confusing, i argued over paying the full ppi to them as we had only had the loan for a short amount of time but you are made to pay the full amount when you pay off loan.

To be honest i am willing to give anything a go if it means i get something back. Deloittes were not aware i had paid loan off apprently even though it is all on my paperwork and he was looking at my info so more questions to be asked i presume. My claim was put through in january this year so i think i have a long time to wait still for anything
If you have a loan with PPI and you choose to end the loan agreement, then you are given a settlement figure, once that is paid the loan ends and the PPI ends with it as the PPI will only run for the length of time it was for I.E. 5 years or if you pay off the loan before that time.

thanks for your replies, picture would not budge on settlement figure and would give nothing back even when i started quoting their own terms and conditions from the booklet they sent. Hoping it will be good news from deloittes then whenever it comes through. rang them on wednesday and they had not started to look at mine yet.

mmmmmmm hello, hope all is well. Just a quick question if I may. Has any of the lucky devils that have received compensation also had their 3 year No claims bonus. Honey2, looking at your claim, the dates make you eligible (I think)

Reason for why, I have today received a cheque from Picture for my No Claims (3.5k) Now the advice I have recd is that this amount will be deducted from my compensation. Has anybody that has compensation got this written into their FSCS calculations.

Also, dont know who it was but Im sure somebody wanted to know who Pictures Insurers were. Well my cheque is drawn from the Coffers of London & General Insurance Company Ltd. Does this help you ?
I received these payments from Picture the FSCS know I had received these payments as I sent them the letters from Picture - they returned these with my cheque on Friday.

yes, Honey's friend had hers rejected. She claimed re pre existing medical conditions, but they had the phone recording of the conversation and apparantley the advisor told her pre existing was not covered. Not sure if she based it on anything else. Your best to put in several reasons for the missell.

So honey you did receive NCD. Good if you did. That would be good news for anyone on here who is due for a NCD
