I have not received any post today!!!! I read some of your posts earlier on and couldn.t help but call the FSCS. I think I got Mr Grumpy as he didn't seem to say a great deal. However he did confirm that my claim was in the final stage and although he couldn't give me any time scale he informed me I should hear something soon.
I asked if we were talking weeks or months and he said"Oh not months"
I asked if my claim had been successful and he informed me that he couldn't say. He did however say that most of the claims had been successful which I thought was positive. I asked him if he was expecting me to read between the lines by what he was saying and he went very quiet!!!!!

Most claims have been successful then.....good news. I have also spoken to them a couple of times today to try and get any info I can.

As I see it we are at the stage where most claims have been successful and claims with the management team at the FSCS should be sorted out within a couple of days.

    Here's hoping;)

I like others are now sick of waiting. If I havent heard anything by Thursday I am going to give them a call. I honestly believe my claim is in the final stages as I have received the same info from 3 different people. However how long do they take to sign a cheque and stick a stamp on an envelope. This is getting ridiculous!!!
Any idea gumbi how long the final stage takes

Hi everyone, hope your all well.

I received a Supplementary Questionnaire from Deloiites through the post, pretty straight forward, with 6 questions.

The first questions is asking to confirm the PPI ref number.

The 2nd questions to confirm the cost of the PPI that was added to loan (answer for all policies you have claimed for)

The 3rd question - details of original loans(s) supported by the PPI, the name of the firm who provided the loan, the account number, the date the loan commenced and the amount of loan.

Question 4 - Is the loan in force?
    If not then on

Question 5 - give details of the new loan that replaced the loan in (question 3), name of firm, the amount, and to let them know if refinanced more than one.
Give details of each loan that had been used to repay the original.

Question 6 - Give details as how the loan was repaid, the amount and if possible attach supporting evidence.

    The sign.

We were never asked any questions like that, not yet!!!!!! only for statement from new lender

Yes mine is marked as priority but I don't know how long it will be with the Senior Managers as I still don't know what they actually do....Is the decision already made by Delloites? Do the FSCS simply 'rubber stamp' the decision or there is actual work to be done?

The lack of information and the conflicting info that we are getting is making a stressful situation 10 times worse than it need be:confused:

I'm lucky in so much as my MP has got real clout, (Chief Secretary of the defence select commitee) and I think he's really been pushing behind the scenes on this....
If FSCS havehad honey2's since July, I would think there was more work to be done on it!!!!!! otherwise why would they have ir so long:confused:

The guy this morning said that the senior managers go over all the details and figures given to them then they sign it off. Plus he said cheque run so there must be loads of others getting cheques if it is a run they would not run of 2 or 3 more like 100

Sounds good to me honey2. - lots of cheques:j

We've got to remember there is no incentive for any of these organisations to get things done.
    • The banks and loan companies answer only to themselves - the FSA is a joke !
    • The FSCS answers to nobody
    • Deloitte's answer to the FSCS who answers to...yep that's right nobody!
There is no fear of failure as there is nobody to answer too except us and we can be ignored because ultimately we have no power beyond our capacity to call and make ourselves such a pain in the rear end that they get fed up and either sort us out or drop us the bottom of the pile out of sheer spite!

This is indicative of the whole financial system I'm afraid and nothing's likely to change soonicon9.gif

Just be thankful we're close to the end and that all the anger and frustration will be worth it in the end..........HOPEFULLY!

Totally agree gumbi. lets face it Picture don't have a reputaation to worry about now, as they are no longer in business. They have nothing to lose.

    Hi hun

It seems like these questionnaires were sent out in error by Deloitte, as the FSCS already passed on these particular details, like yourself I were asked back the last week or 2 the details of the lender only and that was by email.
    So not to worry.;)

I am hoping beaniebabe that ours or at least yours will be going out in the next cheque run, which seems to be a Friday. Unless they send a few more out with Honey2's tomorrow.

The email we received back from Deloittes today was that they were just waiting for response back from the lender, where I assume she meant the mortgage provider as these were the details they requested from us the last time, then they can continue with the case as from receiving the response, but they mentioned absolutely nothing about the form.

No one got back to us by phone anyway......

Hope you all receive some hopeful news now, its good to hear that Honey's have been sorted, so its all looking more positive now Xxx
