Alan FSCS just rang - he said that Elaine had at the time of the call on Wednesday had given correct information - the cheque run was to be run off on Fri 2/10//09 however there was a problem and the cheque run was unable to go ahead (probably lost the bloody cheque book!). He said to me the cheque run will be carried out tomorrow and will go out 1st class post. He said if any problems develope and the run could not be done then he will ensure I receive a telephone call advising me and telling me when it will be done and when I will receive the CHEQUE.

I asked in what circumstances would it not be run, he said postal strike or machine breaks.

He further explained that C/S take the calls and note lettters, e-mail etc - the other half of the team deal with going over the final figures, decisions complaints and issue of CHEQUES. They do not speak to the public however C/S can ask them for an update on all cases they are working on.
I asked him - if the CHEQUE was supposed to go out on Friday and now it is going to be tomorrow then I take it my claim has been successfull - he said YES you will be sent a CHEQUE tomorrow - I asked what are the details? he said I don't know, C/S are never told - only the other team are told it is confidential between the decision team and the customer, it is not posted on account we never know what the amount is for!!!!!!!.

He finished up apologising and advising he would call tomorrow if the CHEQUE was not being sent.

Really sorry honey2, hope this gets sorted today, well done on making a formal complaint, this is now beyond a joke when their notes even back up what you have been told.
