I wonder if all foods have a timer than renders the food OFF after a certain time and date has passed.
Did you eat it?
well it was actually 5-6 days old by the time we were given it.Brooker_Dave wrote: »If you live on Mcdonalds, a stale buscuit is the least of your health worries.
i dont, but i know what you mean, its just the principal of selling old food especially when its their own bloody system.LemonGrove wrote: »What's an RMHC Keyring out of interest?

RMHC keyrings were brought in this year to allow customers to buy them and therefore donate money to the charity, which provides houses at most major hospitals with a children's ward so parents can stay near their children throughout their stay for treatment.
The brownie should have been binned, so it's customer error. All you need to do is take it back, or ask for the franchisee's name and address (or HQ address if it's a company store) and complain. You'll get your money back and probably something more as an apology. If it was 5-6 days old I get the feeling the store manager doesn't care or have proper checks done, in that case, ask for the franchisee name, store number (all MaccyD's have store numbers so they know where they are - Head Office) Store manager's name and shift running manager's name and then complain. It means they'll get warnings but it means they'll tighten up a bit.
Half frozen quarters mean the grill wasn't switched to 4:1 grill for long enough before breakfast to main menu changeover (should be changed on or before 10am, ususally around 9:45), and it also means the DPSC checks weren't done. The shift running manager in charge of that should have been given a written warning at the very least, and also retraining. Again, you take it back, you complain, they check the charts, someone gets punished, you get a refund and probably something more.** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **

Bought four meals at local outlet but as we didn't live to far away we had already decided that we would take it home to eat as we had to go out again later on, anyway our eldest always eats fries completly before anything else, well all eating away and he opens his big mac (i actually see him open the box, but could not see what was in the box) 'some one has taken a bit out of it he said'- I thought no way maybe a bit of the bun had broken of and looked like some had bitten it - but oh no - it had a great big chunk missing, teeth marks the lot.
Well we took it back, after taking pictures asked for the manager who really was not interested, wanted to take it away and give me another one - no way hose - kept tight hold on it _ asked him how this could have happened but he just stared at me. Now let me add here that I hold an Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate - and worked in the food industry at the time - I told him this and that I would be complaining. We walked out, still with the bigmac now in a bag, only to be followed down the street by the manager demanding it back, getting louder and louder, I was incredibly embarressed but stood my ground so to speak anyway we got away from him. We took the big mac home and froze it and then contacted EMHO - to cut a long story short, we got no compensation as we could not prove we had bought it like that but they did have a full investigation and monthly checks on branch.
Now you know why we don't eat Mcd's
I don't need such a reason.
I don't eat it because it's crap is reason enough!.....0 -

it was a week old by the time we got it, i dont expect it to be fresh as such, just dont like it when they supply stuff over their own dates. you wouldnt buy a week old loaf in the supermarket would you ?
i never received a reply from customer services either, their website is pretty shoddy so this might be the reason.0 -

ive complained to mcdonalds but thought i would post here as well as i dont fancy going there again.

for all i know it could have been fished out of the bin.
please dont go on about how mcdonalds is bad for you either (i know it is and i dont care).
then you state it is a week out of date, but you have just stated it was just over a day.Samba_Pa_Ti wrote: »it was a week old by the time we got it, i dont expect it to be fresh as such, just dont like it when they supply stuff over their own dates. you wouldnt buy a week old loaf in the supermarket would you ?

So it was just over a day old and not a week old!0 -
chuckly, the majority of the food in McD's IS fresh. Should know, used to work there, used to watch it being prepared.
Samba Pa Ti, ask the store manager for the franchisee's name and address, send them a letter and the picture and see what they say (they should refund and give you extra as they inconvenienced you)** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **

What a pointless thread about a 1 day out of date Brownie?!
It won't kill you, in fact if it was dated up with a in date brownie I bet you couldn't tell the difference. The Brownies are frozen and got out the day before so I hardly think it was a week old
Oh and I bet you can't tell if you eat a 1 day out of date bun once it's been toasted0
