If it was off and you would have eaten it "you would have certainly been doing brownies all day"
A mistake but for PR they should give you some vouchers.
Years ago I purchased a Quarter Pounder and the burger was raw in the middle, it was horrid and the store offered me another one and said I would hear from the Franchisee. He never rang, so I chased him up and got a loud of excuses. I complained to the HQ in Finchley and got some vouchers which I sent back and unless I could prove I was disturbed by the event they wouldn't do anything!!! It has put me off them and I tend to avoid em!!!!!0 -
Just look at it, would you really want to eat it even if it was in date? xD0

nothing to do with use by etc but i once bought a prepacked chicken salad from McDs and it cost I think either 2.99 or 3.99 well i sat down to eat it and noticed that there was a lot of iceberg lettuce on top - as i thought - so i used the lid and starting deconstruction looking for the chicken. i got all the way to the bottom before finding any...............one peice about the size of a two pence!!!!!!!!!!!! along the way i found three cherry tomatoes and a chunk of cucumber no bigger than a marble. oh and the peice of chicken looked more like the pork i get from the chinese takeaway. i marched it back to the counter (the place was packed) and complained loudly. the franchisee was there and said it wasnt their fault as it was packed elsewhere and i should complain to them. well i wasnt having that - I informed them that the guy i was with was a solicitor (he wasnt but he was wearing a suit) and that i was entitled to my money back off them! they paid up!! and i havent been back since.0

We haven't frequented McD's since the following incident
Bought four meals at local outlet but as we didn't live to far away we had already decided that we would take it home to eat as we had to go out again later on, anyway our eldest always eats fries completly before anything else, well all eating away and he opens his big mac (i actually see him open the box, but could not see what was in the box) 'some one has taken a bit out of it he said'- I thought no way maybe a bit of the bun had broken of and looked like some had bitten it - but oh no - it had a great big chunk missing, teeth marks the lot.
Well we took it back, after taking pictures asked for the manager who really was not interested, wanted to take it away and give me another one - no way hose - kept tight hold on it _ asked him how this could have happened but he just stared at me. Now let me add here that I hold an Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate - and worked in the food industry at the time - I told him this and that I would be complaining. We walked out, still with the bigmac now in a bag, only to be followed down the street by the manager demanding it back, getting louder and louder, I was incredibly embarressed but stood my ground so to speak anyway we got away from him. We took the big mac home and froze it and then contacted EMHO - to cut a long story short, we got no compensation as we could not prove we had bought it like that but they did have a full investigation and monthly checks on branch.
Now you know why we don't eat Mcd'sFibro-Warrior0 -
im still waiting for a reply from them (not expecting one soon).
i know its only a pound but it was out of date even if it was still safe to eat, im not even that bothered about the money back, what pi$$es me off more is the way they have swapped around the drive through system, they dont give straws/napkins/dips at the first window anymore, you're lucky if you get them at the third window.
anyway il see what they come up with, might get a letter/email in the next week. i doubt it though as customer service seems shoddy.0 -
Unfortunately, your out-of-date brownie will not yield you a windfall upon which you can retire. You could try visiting a supermarket and looking for some grapes to slip on.0

Do you think it decided at one minute past midnight that is was now 'off'?
I wonder if all foods have a timer than renders the food OFF after a certain time and date has passed.
Did you eat it?Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100
