    me being cool

Love the way it displays what the song/artist is that's playing.

Agree about the tricky volume button, not a problem for me though as my middle name is nimble but could understand a fat fingered person struggling with it.. apart from that, I love this radio and only wish I had one in the bedroom as well as the kitchen

They have this in DAB Bug in white from Dixons for Half price at the moment £64.99 (In Gloucester) but is not listed on there website, only in store. The silver is still full price.
    Hi

Spoke to Dixons / Curry's yesterday. Confirmed price of £64.97, but said it was an end of line item. Probably wouldn't re-stock. (Got the impression, if it ended in .97p it meant end of line (don't quote)). As end of line, it wouldn't show on their web site.
Anyway, rung around a few stores, but no joy, except Crawley (Dixons) had one display left and manager agreed to knock another £5 off. Ain't gonna get a chance to go in now, so if anyone is passing and it's still there......!

For those that are buying one:

The Viking Secure Digital 1Gb SD cards are now down to £17.49 inc p&p

(select memory cards, SD cards & then Viking)

Hope this saves some cash for you all.

Mine arrived this morning - v happy with it so far!

Has anyone successfully upgraded the software to v1.3 yet?

I've had a go but my computer just seemed to get stuck at one point - I left it for about 20 mins and it didnt make any progress. Is this normal? Am I just being impatient?

Lots of people seem to have problems doing the upgrades.

There is a useful support forum here which may be of some help. The head of Pure technical development/support often posts, and has recently asked for testers for new beta s/w v2.0.

Don't forget to change the Display Options to look at older threads going back the past year or so.

Thanks for the link - some interesting info on there.

Hope the new update comes out soon!

I had a play with the EPG and looks good (finally got it installed!), but I've now gone back to v1.2 since the beta (1.3) wouldn't let you record from the buffer - i.e. if you rewind a few mins then hit record, it just starts recording from live.

    What's the speaker quality like?
They look a bit small and I was wondering if I turn the volume up will they start to rattle - plus how much will a 1gb card record, 1 , 2 , 3 hours?

    Also how much does weigh?

No they don't rattle when you turn the volume up. As good as you can expect from speakers that size. I use mine to play favourite (MP3) tracks at full blast when getting ready and it handles it no problem.

Memory - I have a 512Mb card in and currently have 4 stored programs of about 2 hours each. It is using 3/5 of the card... so at a rough guess about 25 hours on a 1GB card.

EDIT : Just seen your edit - I draw the line at weighing the bloody thing for you! Have you got a particularly fragile bedside table?
