MrsE - give me your money and I'll give you a prettily packaged tub, full of simple moisturiser :D

    I've been Money Tipped!
I tried some of the simple moisturiser today. Not for me.

Incredibly thin, felt like there was more water content than anything. No hydration at all to the back of my hand after rubbing it in.

I did however buy some of the IQ eye cream to try. I'll hide it amongst my array of posh Elemis bottles!;)

It wasn't clear to me when I first read this, and given the discussion about face moisturisers I just thought I'd point this out to anyone else who didn't realise...

...this was testing EYE CREAMS and not face moisturisers.

Whilst I absolutely subscribe to the fact that expensive moisturisers are not necessarily effective, wrinkles around the eyes are deeper, and the eye area is more prone to sun damage. The testers would have tested the creams around the eyes only. The comparison of these eye creams, therefore, to the same brands of face moisturisers is not particularly valid.

I personally truly believe that the best defence you can give your skin is staying out of the sun, wearing SPF every day and taking your make up off at night!

Just thought I'd point that out in case, like me, other people weren't clear on what they tested!!

    Cheers :)

Kiki, please read post 13 by Roger_Rampant. He has already explained this. Just in case you missed his post. HTH.

Does anyone know what, if any, spf factor the Simple moisturiser has? From what I can find, the product states it has "UV filters", but mentions nothing about what spf it is?

Glitzy, I can confirm that I bought this in Superdrug for that price this afternoon. Pretty chuffed. Wonder how much it will go up to beyond this promo - hmmm!!!

Skibster, I have checked the box and the bottle, but does just mention "defending UV filters". There is no mention of SPF anywhere. Could you e.mail them to find out? Sorry I couldn't be of further assistance to you.

Thanks - was in a hurry and so had no time to price this in Boots today. Can someone let the MSE Bootsers know about this? Just in case they miss this thread. TIA.

Remember, only £6.00 for 3 (1 = £2.00) currently at Superdrug. So, although saving £0.42, have to consider that a Bootser would get £5.00 off a selected line (as per rosie) and would get Boots points also. So, Superdrug shopper fine with individual deal, but Bootsers who are also stashers (which makes all of us, I suppose) are better off for the likes of stocking fillers/pressies, etc or just long term affordable skincare.

To those who said that this was an eye cream trial... it seems that they were all eye creams EXCEPT the Simple one. Even in the DM pic!

    Does anyone know?
