We get our mail about 2.30-3pm. If were lucky. Most days we don't get it at all. And the posties NEVER shut the gate, grr/

The way forward for the post office/royal mail. instead of losing millions of £'s every year from losing mail, how about re-couping it by opening later, say once a week open till 8pm....and open for a few hours on a Sunday. They'd make so much more money, b/c the millions of office workers would actually have access to the system.

I'm sure there are plenty of hard-working honest posties out there, but a lot of the time when we have a recorded delivery and are in, the postie STILL sticks a notice through the door and doesn't try to knock. Meaning I have to go out of my way for my own flippin' mail! Why not give them bonus payments when these are delivered on time?

    what millions are RM losing?
    RM made profit last year

    post offices are open late
i have one just up the road open till 8pm weekdays,6pm weekends
or do you mean delivery offices? mines open 7-7 weekdays
  • Nope, our PO's are open mon-fri till 5pm and Sat till 12.30pm. So in comparison, where I live we get a raw deal.

I assumed they lost so much, because a) i've had recorded and special delivery parcels lost! And b) they are very hard to claim compensation from when the above occurs.

I've experienced RM/PO's in Edinburgh, and they are very well organised/run. Manchester are terrible.

Anyone seen this thread about knocking: -

So its not for everyone. Of course, I love it when the PostMan knocks me up. He says that he loves getting his hands on my big knockers and giving them a good banging. He prefers it to sticking his package into my slit.
I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.
