What time do you get your mail?

Evening all,

I get my mail at 1140 every day (give or take 5 minutes!). However, if I remember rightly when I was at school post always arrived around 7am (and I lived at several different addresses over the years). Have posties hours been adjusted or was I just lucky with where I lived?

We always had our post delivered really early years ago.
I think these days they have bigger or several rounds. Also now they don't have second post they don't have the same rush to do the round twice.

lol just a touch,im lucky to start delivering for 10am
my round is easily 4X the size of the times you refer to


to the OP
the target is 2pm for city and 3pm for rual deliveries
for mail to be getting delivered so late i would expect an office with serious staffing issues

Saturdays should be an earlier finish.this harks back to the single delivery agreement.
so take my office as an example.
we start 1 hour earlier,only do one missort run(2 during the week),dont have to take mailsort mail(those with a big M in the stamp place plus have 1/2 an our 'back' from 2 145 minte later finishes during the week.
so instead of a 2pm finish it becomes a 12.30 finish

About 10am ish most days since they got rid of the second delivery. It used to be about 8-8:30.

In Wales basically like 2pm up to 5pm , over here 10 am every day on the dot and no !!!!in aboot.

We get a great service from our postie but then it's a rural area and he knows everyone. The post is usually with us by midday and can even be as early as 10am.

Who is getting their post early then!?!? What are the posties doing until 10am!?
