Should posters on the Bakruptcy Board be excluded from posting on DFW?

I think they should both work together. I post mainly on the DFW board as I'm doing a dmp, and although I'm not intending to go BR due to my job (and other reasons), should this stop me from posting on the BR board?
My OH went BR a couple of years ago and I have a friend considering it so I guess I can offer some support and advice although not as indepth as the majority but surely some support is good?

From the original postIf this is, indeed, the opinion of the majority, on DFW, then I, for one, will bow to that opinion and will cease, forthwith, posting here, but I would like your advice first.
I think they some of the personal attacks were getting under his skin a bit. I wouldn't waste my time on them personally. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

I'm really pleased to hear that.
And thanks to all who posted on this thread - I have read, and taken on board, all of the comments, both positive and negative, You have confirmed exactly what I thought - DFW and the BR board are, indeed, part of the same, and very important, family unit - within the overall 'umbrella' of MSE.
I fully understand the 'need' to have separate boards, and although these boards are separate they are not, nor should they be, 'unique' or segregated.
I will continue, where appropriate, to offer my 'congratulations' to any 'debtor' who has had to make a difficult and often life-changing decision in order to come to terms, or deal, with their 'debt' problems - whether that be through a DMP, IVA, F&F, Bankruptcy or simply facing up to reality.
Of course, there will, always be those who, for whatever reason, will not understand the 'ethos' of this little 'community within a community', but we will all, myself included, have to learn to live with that and not let it interfere with the main purpose of this forum.
I guess that a little more 'tolerance' from everyone would help all posters pursue their objectives - whether they be 'looking for the most efficient way to invest their millions' or a 'desperate cry for hitherto denied advice and support'.

Thanks.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

DFW Nerd # 166 PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTS0 -
I didn't see the DT thread, but of course the two boards are linked. As others have said, people post on one and need directing to the other, but also people going bankrupt have probably struggled through a lot of debt problems before that and therefore have a lot of help and experience to give on the DFW board. And on the other hand, they may need help sticking to the br budget and so still need help from the dfw'ers.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

My thoughts - for what it's worth.
It's all got a bit out of hand - I can understand people thinking you are congratulating people for going bankrupt as if you are saying play the sytem but anyone who spends any time on the bankruptcy board will appreciate that the congratulations are for surviving a stresful and harrowing experience and to the start of their new life.
I've not seen anyone on the bankruptcy board who seems to be 'cheating the system' and I don't think the majority of posters on there would condone it.
As for people on here looking down on people on the bankruptcy people - life's too short and there may be a number of small minded people but I don't think it's a common feeling and if people feel like that then maybe they should think themselves lucky as a stroke of bad luck could lead them to bankrutpcy anyway - or it could be taken out of their hands.
Um - that's it really.
