They have now said that the card I used (which he took 2 payments from) has now been locked out by there security thing for 30 days, so he cant process it and he cant take another payment from it, so I need another card to complete the purchase.

The o2 billing system locks you out if you using the same card twice and it declines, for 24 hours, not 30 days.

Don't have a clue why you've gone though CPW though.

An email to their Chief Executive often gets results.

  • Are you sure the money has actually been taken and is not just showing as a pending transaction, where the bank has authorised it but cpw have yet to take it?

I was once told that sometimes card payments decline due to the bank taking too long to respond to the transaction request, and that this could result in the card being declined even though the bank eventually authorises payment. Meaning the money goes into limbo for 24/48 hours until the bank realises that the transaction has not been completed, at which point the funds are released

Charles Dunstone does not see these e mails. His set of PA reads it. If you dont 1st e mail customer services then they will just forward your e mail to them.
  • I understand your frustration regarding the issues.

Unfortunatley it does take some days to return funds to a bank account due to the process of refunding.

I dont understand why your card would lock out as its not a large amount of money that has occured, or several process attempts either !

Their are a few contracts you can choose that supply the iphone without charge for the handset. Maybe you could look at them.

Standing outside a carfone Warehouse Shop will not help your cause and in truth is it right for you to hinder people off the street just trying to enter a shop. In extreeme cases you could be asked to leave or face possible arrest.

Of course he doesn't, but it certainly worked in my case, at least I got my long ongoing problem sorted within a few hours.

It certainly ends up at a senior person, not the usual unhelpful call centre dumbo.

Care to explain why that should be? This is the 21st century for most of us, obviously not CPW.
