HI
ive spend months hidden and looking on the boards i had my lbm in may
I spent most of the day crying in front of the computer i never looked at the letters or the running costs of my debt i just hid it. and i hid it well it only came to a head when i could no longer get a loan or a new card:mad:
I was once debt free not that long ago i shreaded every thing it was great for me to be free from it all well 10 mins until the phone rang .
when my family came I pulled the phone out only so many double sales company can phone in one day !!
I hear you ask how did i get here well are you sitting down with a coffee
many years of living the high life had a well paid job kids went to a childminders so always felt bad that mummy was not home so weekends were for the family days out and always lots of shopping then came the bigger house oh alal i even had my ironing picked up(lazy me). lost my job years ago but never changed a thing got a new job less wages but keeped the old life style going until bang no one would give me a cup of tea on tick lol no more plastic funtastic

Hi Naefags
Just read your first post and your debt detailed is not too far off from the cc debt Im dealing with.
Firstly, I would say to you , please try not to feel guilty about the children at childminders etc. I empathise totally and believe me I say this to you because Ive been there, still am on some days. I feel so guilty that my dd has to work with me or is at the holiday club when her friends are at the beach or whatever. The thing is though, as I have come to learn, your children will love you no matter what. I explain to my dd that mummy needs to work to pay for our home etc etc. Children do seem to understand, and you are demonstrating how important it is to take responsibility for your situation. What better role model could there be for your children?
I am a novice to these boards really, however Im sure some others will come along and offer advice. The one thing I have found invaluable is completing the snowball calculater at www.makesenseofcards.com Before I went there I was thinking my debt wd be with me for years and years. But it gave me a debt free date of 5 years, and detailed what my balances would be after every month. Will make you feel better about things Im sure.
Stay positive !My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)

Hi NaeFags
Up at 8.30 on a Sunday - I didn't even know that hour existed on a Sunday....
After a few days healthy eating fish & chips aren't that good - honestly, they taste greasy
And with giving up smoking your tatste buds will know all about this
Keep up the good work
