It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

    Hi Luc :hello:

    Linda - good news.....

Bookie....glass of wine and a book..(can't remember the options)

Still at home, contractions still seven mins apart and have been since this morning. DD can't get comfy and is knackered now.....as am I (and I haven't done anything).....she has been for a walk, bounced on a swiss ball and is now reading heat....

    I can't even have a drink....

By the way it's good news on the job front for hubby, this chap is definitely buying the company :T

It's such a huge weight off our minds!

Going running when hubby returns home, sis asked if I want to do the Great North Run with her because she was sent 2 race packs and race numbers but I'm not sure, I've never run further than 5 miles and it's a half marathon in 5 weeks time

up your milage by a mile a week on the longest run babes and you'll be there!!

you can always walk some. Perfectly acceptable to walk on the GNR

    Afternoon
Sammy this sounds like it could be a long labour  Maybe it will stop and then come back stronger later? Has she had a bath to ease the pain? Get her on all 4's to getting it pushing down in the right place...Where's our trainee Midwife Toto when you need her!

Welcome home Luc, hope you had a good time.
Im sure there are some 6 week half marathon training plans out there, just take it easy its a big increase in mileage and you should also not only be increasing your long run mileage but your weekly mileage so that its not such a shock to the body!

Just cooking myself SW chips and sausages..yum yum yum!
Got the remainder of uniform today so tonight I shall be attempting to sew in name tapes!
Also took DD swimming and spent an hour at the allotment...never ending I tell you.

Hi Luc, and others who've just come on.

Katch22, I hope things get better for you soon, good news that your GS is doing better though.

Anyone know if BB's ok, she doesn't seem to have been on for a few days?
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

    Hi

Well I had a chat with my bf this morning, it didn't quite go the way I wanted but it will do for now!

Also, I recently had an abnormal smear test and had to go to the hospital. When I was in the room with the Doctor, there were also three other people in there, nurses and a trainee I think but I didn't get told. Anyway he asked me a couple of questions and I got embarassed in front of so many people and didn't quite tell the truth.

I decided to wait until the results of my next smear before deciding whether I should 'fess up. It came today and said it was still abnormal but as I had no other symptoms (not true) there would be no further treatment required.

So my daughter took it upon herself, bless her, to phone the helpline and explain the situation in a hypothetical way and luckily the lady was really helpful and understanding and is going to speak to the Doctor to see whether I really should go back.

I know I was stupid and I am so glad my daughter phoned because I wouldn't have done but would have worried about it constantly.
