    OH is setting off to see U2 and Elbow in Sheffield in a few mins while I will be setting off with 2 teenagers in tow to buy trainers..........

  • Glad you're getting uniform together Spud (and everybody else!) - out of order that they insist on all this 'brand' stuff - the list was long when I went but the tie and badge for the optional blazer were the only special bits... was a while ago mind!

    I buy them the basics but if they want extra stuff or fancy names then they have to buy those out of Birthday and Christmas money or their Ebay earnings............meany mum here:D

    It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
    We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
    Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

    The blazers are compulsary - they get in big trouble if they go to assembly or walk round school without one. I wish the blazers were embroidered instead of having to buy the badge and sew it. I hate that job.

    All the rest of the regular uniform is plain navy, it's really the PE kit that costs megabucks. It is very nice though :rolleyes:

    Ahh well I can relax now - I even managed to get the things DD wanted and they wont go to school looking like we're poor :o
