Lovely news all round SquizzBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Ugh not sure I can construct much in the way of sentences this morning.. nice weekend but so tired.. noisy neighbours plus parents being a bit hard work plus some family issues.. plus come into work to a (not unpredictable but annoying) development with the 'extra' work I applied for which I think makes it much less likely I'll get to do it.
Just want to sleep reallyDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
In DFW news, got a couple of cashback payments today into overdraft account - sig duly updated. Also got a letter from one of DCAs threatening legal action even though I've been paying them constantly for a couple of years -grr.
Oh and I spent about £30 this weekend, not bad.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Huh!!! to the DCA - sounds like they wouldn't have a leg to stand on! £30 while parents are there not bad, but it sounds like it was a bit hard work. You can't sleep with your eyes open, can you? Could be handy at work! Seriously, lots of hugs, take it easy.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

hugs hun, hope the family issues are something that will pass or can be resolved :grouphug:
Well done on only spending £30I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....
Finally Debt Free...0 -
I'm sure you're right about the DCA Karma, just don't have mental energy to compose a letter today.
Family stuff - well the basics are that there's all the upheaval with my dad's family since my grandad died, they are having problems agreeing how to look after my gran (who has always been difficult but is getting worse).. he is also having a hard time at work and is very stressed, apparently they've arranged for him to get some counselling but in the meantime he's a bit of a state, very anxious and keeps forgetting things.. my parents always bicker but the way he is at the moment is obviously getting on my mum's nerves (she's not very good at being sympathetic) so they are really winding each other up - it's just a repeating pattern that's happened many many times with them really. Sigh.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Feel a bit better now, had a walk in the sunshine, some real life hugs from Mr S, and he'd made me sandwiches (home made bread, leftover local roast beef from lunch yesterday - we didn't go to the pig place in the end, and mustard -yum).
Getting stuck into the further application for work thingy now.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
