Squizz....£100 is very doable for you if you haven't got a lot of commitments on. £25 a week. £15-£20 on food and then £5-£10 on whatever. When you are staying at Mr S do you do a shop together and then split it. Although you don't generally do a weeks shop do you, more of a daily thing? I mean if he were spending £15-£20 a week too thats a good amount of food between you for a week.

Oh and I am very impressed you have really stuck to the clothes challenge :)

Sounds pretty reasonable when you put it like that :)

We sometimes do a big shop at the weekend but generally go every day/ every other day and take turns at paying, but he insists on buying more because he earns more - so out of 5 shops I will probably pay for 2. Reckon I probably do spend about £15 a week and he probably spends about £30 or so (including cat stuff).

I'm very impressed you are still at zero on the clothes challenge!

He is - the minute he said what he did, I could just *hear* the rightness of it, it just poured water on all that anger - I knew it wasn't appropriate, but now I know where its from too - its from when I was always in the wrong, and my sister was always in the right. Hey ho.

Changing the subject ...... have you heard how your mum is this morning?

  • No not heard from her yet today - sounds like she has the same thing I had a couple of weeks ago with the sore eyes, runny nose and wanting to sleep lots (she is diabetic though so it's made her a bit wobbly on that front), so hopefully by Thurs she will be feeling better enough to travel.

No jobs to apply for today.. fairly quiet day at work. Had a fun eight mile run in the snow last night!

Parents are coming down tomorrow, all being well with the weather etc, my mum is feeling much better :)
