Yep, something like that - look how good you're being at your challenge, by the way! Think about that too! Do you do survey sites or whatever? I was half watching a bbc docu last night, and was going through all those stupid toluna surveys - I do it every month or so, and I'm nearly up to another tenner with no real effort at all.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I think what I'm going to do is keep everything in my main account until payday and then see how much is left, put some towards the debt and some towards a holiday - super-cheap flights don't seem to be available at the moment so we're looking at somewhere between £25-50 each return for anywhere we want to go.
I know I'm going to feel awful if/ when I crack on the clothes front - I think anything I buy is going to have to be with vouchers or I'll be kicking myself!
On the debt target.. thanks Karma, you just made me look at my sig and do some sums and I've realised that by just making my normal payments I'll be on track for the £625 by the end of March! :jDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Hey thats great, just with normal payments! And ooh, lovely, the idea of cheap flights. I'm definitely going to have a holiday this year - my sister's renting a cottage (read: practically a villa!) somewhere in the UK so my mum can have a week away with the two of us - she knows what a bad situation I'm in financially, and she's in a good way with finances, so she (my sister) is paying .... and I'll do something with my egyptology lot, I think. Next year, there'll be a bloke to whisk me away somewhere2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Yes there will Karma
An update on spends this month:
£500 on rent
£180-ish on debt (can't remember which overdraft pymts were before/ after payday)
£76 on council tax
£4.89 on toiletries
£30-ish on food
£3.52 on gardening stuff
£21 on race entry
£11.18 on maps
£2.46 on a birthday card
£50.62 on mobile bill
and put £28 onto Mastercard for cheapie flights.
Had a good four mile run last night though it was very chilly - legs were bright red when I got in.
No other news I don't think - work is busy and a bit stressed at the moment but it's nice to have a bit of a challenge for a change!
Edit - oh yes, woman behind us in the queue in Waitrose last night asked if we were 'poor students' because we were buying all the reduced stuff. Mr Squizz hasn't been a student for nearly 20 years so he was quite pleased to be told he looked young enough :rotfl:

I'd love that.. *wonders how she would tell Mr Squizz she's going away for the weekend with a strange woman she met on the internet* :rotfl:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Congrats to Mr Squizz!
I have fennel growing wild in my garden in various places, after I bought it without really knowing it was ....I'm going to try to get some into a pot so I can take a plant with me: does anybody have any ideas about the best way to do that?

Got paid by my previously voluntary 'job' today - now what do I do with the extra £50?
