Woo hoo! After what Martin wrote recently (?) about overdrafts, this sounds better and better, Squizz.

    What did Martin say?

Actually, that reminds me - for some reason the bank I have the overdraft with sent me a new card recently, even though the old one doesn't expire for another couple of years. I've only had a cashline card with them for about 10 years since I was naughty and went over my overdraft back then. This new one is a Visa Debit though! Perhaps they've noticed I've not been using the account apart from paying the overdraft off?

Its something about how people sometimes pay off credit cards by using their overdraft, but overdrafts are sometimes *more* expensive than credit cards, so it was a really, really bad move. You're doing it from income, so *that* doesn't apply, but it was memorable to me because I hadn't realised that the two rates had converged, thats all.

You're doing good on what you're doing! Off now to buy train tickets and stock up my oystercard, has to be done during the day cos its too slow in the evening to do moneythings on!

    See you later

I hadn't read that but yep some overdraft interest rates are pretty scary! Mine is still interest free at the moment (although I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be but shhhh! ;))

Yesterday seriously went downhill in the afternoon - work stuff which really made me wonder about some people's attitudes (thankfully ones who I only have to deal with at a distance).. but anyway been a quiet day so far and hoping it will stay that way.

Got a gas bill yesterday which was only £45! Estimated though and the actual reading is a bit higher, so we think it should be about £60. Looking at previous ones we are spending on average £30 a month which I think is OK? I'll probably be a bit more careful about putting the heating on now that I'm paying for it :rotfl:

Eek!:rotfl:Nice to see you here :D

What's going on today then... I am feeling a bit yucky, didn't sleep well and feel quite moody and fed up. Lots of silly annoying little things to do at work today. I also have a strange pain in my tummy :(

In other news, the gas bill turned out to be £71, still not bad. Mr S non-commital on whether he wants me to pay half of it or not. Had a chat about putting it onto direct debit though so will probably do that.

Will have to think about having a couple of days off and actually sorting my flat out and packing!

That is expensive P - like Sal says I'd be putting on lots of clothes, hope you've both got lots of woolly jumpers!

It's definitely not a baby squirrel - I've had period pain for the last few days but this is higher up, sort of in/behind my belly button! *insert confused smiley* I don't think it's wind...
