  • I hate weeks like that Squizz, but they do go quickly.
I know what you mean about retired folk. My neighbour retired last January and has been on umpteen hols since. I am always looking after her house for her..the lucky thing. :)

I can't wait to retire, get in my campervan and bog off all over the place..well by then i will probably have to sell the house to afford the petrol. lol

  • Sounds like a plan Bob :) I don't really want to think about when I'll be able to retire, I dread to think how long I have to go!

Ooh, I was having a convo about retiring on Sunday ... my sister plans to retire July 2016, and since she's my *younger* sister, I think that had better be my target too!
2023: the year I get to buy a car
  • Seems like a good target :)

Not much news today except.. I have baby brussel sprouts! The one plant (out of about 20) that has actually survived and grown to full size has got little tiny sproutlets growing on it :D

  • Payday!!! Made my regular monthly debt payments (a couple of which I've put up slightly) and chucked another bit at the overdraft, getting my total down to £8000! :j

I've also smashed my target of £795 for July to September and actually paid off £985.64 :D

Now I just need to decide what to aim at for the rest of the year - it'll either be £750 or £1000, sort of depends on how much rent Mr S wants. I might try for £1000 anyway though, I've got a few bits to sort out selling on eBay/ Amazon and the extra work coming in at some point.

Had a 'fun' evening at the supermarket last night getting lots of foods for the in-laws visit (we now have three different types of milk in the fridge!). Tonight we need to tidy up, get spare duvet and things from my flat, and I have to finish my friend's birthday present which involves making a bag.. she is going travelling soon so I've bought her lots of mini travel bits and am sewing a bag to put them all in.

Ooh I bought some lovely boots yesterday for the winter, exactly what I'd been looking for.. and then today I got a 15% off and free delivery code by email for the site - grr! I have been a little cheeky and emailed them to ask if there's any chance of applying the code to the order anyway, said it was a big spend for me on one item, blah blah.. probably no chance but worth a try!

  • They said no.. but at least they got back quickly. I could cancel it and place it again but it seems like too much hassle!
