Not updated for a couple of days, not a great deal to say really!
Went to the gym for my induction today, looks really good, can't wait to get started properly.
Plan for tomorrow is gym, swim, then massage & facialThen farmers market on Saturday.. not sure what for the rest of the weekend.

Helloo.. back to work, boooo! Actually it's not so bad as our email isn't working so can't really do anything till that is fixed. Looking forward to the gym at lunchtime too.
Really enjoyed days off - Friday had a great morning at the gym and pool, Saturday went to farmers market (that was a bit annoying actually as it was cold, rainy and busy - got a bit moody), Sunday just pottered about in the house/ garden, Monday went for a long walk and had to climb through heather and boggy bits due to a certain amount of er lostness! and yesterday I did lots of housework/ sorted out clothes, went for a run and made a start on reading for my course.
Mr S seems better at the moment too, he is actually busy at work, so is a bit hassled but is sleeping better and seems more energetic and happier.
Payday yesterday and all direct debits have gone out. Debt is now at £8528.02 and July-Sept total is £457.62 which means another £337.38 to pay off this month to reach my target.
Today I am mostly trying to think of nice things about Autumn and Winter to stop me getting down about it getting colder.. so far I have nice sunny crisp days, being able to wear nice scarves and hats and cosy jumpers, being able to walk to work without being all sweaty by the time I get there (:rotfl:) and making lots of lovely soup!

TBH I dont think you even need to have a discussion.
You have been living there a good wee while now & hardle ever use your flat do u?
Whats there to talk about?
Ooh, could be big things in the offing!
Autumn, tho - yep, it feels downright chilly in the eveningI don't *want* it to be autumn!
See you next week2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
My mum asked me last night if I "still had my flat" - erm I think I might have mentioned it if I didn't!
Feel really tired today but will drag myself off to the gym at lunchtime, hopefully that'll wake me up.
Have a small dilemma - I've been asked by job no2 people to help them do a presentation about the scheme for an award they've been nominated for. It's flattering to be asked (and it's a free trip to London) and I'd sort of like to do it but I a) am scared of speaking in front of people and think I'd mess it up and b) think we have something organised on the evening either before or after it. Really not sure what to do.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
OK decided not to do the presentation thing, I can't see me doing it justice speaking in front of a couple of hundred people!
Just paid another £100 into my overdraft - figured I'm less likely to spend it from my current account if I've already moved it elsewhere!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Hmm sneaky -I say I can't go and do the presentation thing and they want to do a video interview with me instead - I suppose I can do that
Work has suddenly got really busy, which is great but a bit of a shock to the system! Found out that I'm going to be moving into another team, as my line manager is being moved elsewhere and that would leave me as a team of one! Still doing the same job, but it'll be nice to be part of a bigger group. Been asked to be a mentor to a new person starting in the department too - guess I must be part of the furniture now :rotfl: Big meeting this afternoon to sort out what I'll be doing for the next year - first time I'll have met some of the big bosses so I've been obsessing over the paperwork and am dressed all smart
Gym and swimming are going well, did 20 lengths on SaturdayReally enjoying getting away from my desk at lunchtimes, it really wakes me up. Have lost a little bit of weight and about half an inch all over (well, not in height, hopefully!)
Looking forward to a long weekend again, meeting friend in York for the day on Thursday then not sure what for the next three days.
Ooh and nearly finished knitting my hat - just need to find a needle to sew it up, I'm sure I have needles but I can only find pins!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Yawwwwn.. four days off and I'm knackered!
Had a lovely lovely day in York on Thursday - spent a bit too much money but hey...
Friday was mostly taken up with gym and swimming, Saturday pottering about the house and garden, and Sunday swimming and reading the Sunday papers.
Wasn't too scary coming back to work, I was expecting loads to catch up on but it's not too bad.
Debating something - got the chance to do a course in mentoring via my second job - it's free because of the job, but it runs at about the same time as the Philosophy one (which starts in 9 days - yay!). They reckon the mentoring course only takes about three hours a week so it's not a massive extra commitment but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to both at the same time, especially when it's a busy time at work. Hmmmm....Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Hi Squizz! I second beanie - go for it! And those second job people sound like they really like you. These days, you need to follow up on anything like that. Who knows when the contacts you make there will come in really handy? And if you'd done the mentoring course, you might have felt okay about standing up and speaking in front of all those people, and you might have met somebody at the event that would be really important work wise in the future .....
