Bit better today, still bit dizzy and my nose is running like mad.

Tried to have conversation with Mr S about the job situation, but got as far as finding out that none of the fixed term jobs were things that he really wanted to do, he probably would have gone for them if they were permanent but didn't fancy them enough to even apply to see what happened. I'm starting to worry about him, he is bored and/ or frustrated with work all the time and outside of work he can't seem to make a decision about anything, even really simple things. Don't know what to do.

In other news can upgrade my mobile today - website says I can change phone and plan but doesn't actually let me do it so going to attempt to talk to a real person later.

Hugs. He sounds stuck at work, and as you say that affects him elsewhere. Kind of has to work through it, but it can seem to take ages for everyone else.

I just wish I could help, and I know I can't really do much - really frustrating.

Some good news anyway, getting an extra unexpected payment from my second job (the one where my current main job is, which I will be continuing once I leave main job) - so have an extra £200 on its way... but not till end of June at the earliest, so May/ June is still going to be a bit of a balancing act.

Other good news - it is sunny, and it's meant to be sunny all weekend and something approaching HOT next week! Might actually get some more plants out of the house and into the garden :)

That's about it really, got a few grumbles but I'm trying to keep positive head on today :)

Hot...did I hear you mention the word hot.
Im having a nightmare with my plants, its been too cold in the growhouse that literally non have germinated. Going to have nothing to plant unless I get them inside or cover them with bubble wrap I think

Just looked at long term (next couple of weeks) forecast and it's getting up to 20-22C some days - fingers crossed that's right!

Yeah we've had to start pretty much everything off inside, it's been far too chilly. Hope yours get going soon.

Well it's sunny so far today, bit happier all round because it's nearly the weekend. Can't wait for a lie in tomorrow!

Had some lovely homegrown salad with tea last night - pea tops, wood sorrel, red sorrel, onion tops, garlic tops, chives, nasturtium leaves, marjoram, rocket and komatsuna. Yum!

Sadly not - I will next time. It was very very green! I made it while Mr S had popped to the shops and challenged him to name all the ingredients :rotfl:

That reminds me, I have some more garden photos to add to my FB album, must do that at the weekend :)

Oops forgot about the photos. Anyway there are more now as we decided to take on the lawn on Saturday. Pulled out all the weeds, mowed and trimmed the edges and then re-seeded the thin patches. Looks much better already although it's got a long way to go!

The last of the plants and containers from my place have been relocated to Mr S's, and we've started replanting the courgettes into big boxes which will sit outside during the day and come in at night. Got all the beans outside although they seem to be growing sideways instead of upwards at the moment. Rescued some poorly plants from reduced section at the garden centre too - a strawberry plant, a swiss chard (actually think this is lots of plants tangled up together but can't separate them), and a load of marigolds :) It's all starting to take shape although I'm not quite sure how everything's going to fit in once it gets bigger

Standing outside last night, we were talking about the huge variety of veg we've got and Mr S said, well we're just experimenting this year to see what grows well, we'll have more idea what we're doing next year...... :D

Anyway, garden ramble over! Also did food shopping for the week so we don't have to visit a supermarket again until maybe Friday. Along with a few bits from the freezer I got the week's food for about £25 so pleased with that.

Meal plan for the week is/ was:
Saturday: Burgers and salad, toffee sundae (all reduced.. hmm healthy :rotfl:)
Sunday: Roast chicken wrapped in bacon, asparagus, new potatoes, apple pie (all reduced)
Monday: Beef stir fry, rest of apple pie
Tuesday: Pasta with broccoli and anchovies
Wednesday: Chicken in lemon & herb marinade, asparagus, polenta (polenta is my new cheap carbohydrate discovery - love it :))
    Thursday: Pizza and homegrown salad
    Friday: ?

And finally, it's my last week in this job! Feels very strange... especially as they are currently knocking down the old building here, it feels very final! On the money front I should have approx £450 left when I get paid at the end of this week, so should be OK until the end of June.

Right, suppose I should go and do something useful.... :)
