Thanks pinky, I have two more on eBay now, one of them I put a reserve on as I can't let it go for a low amount, I would rather keep it, so this one is hit and miss, they both end near to lunchtime today. I do have a few other things to put on eBay but I am waiting a bit, as eBay is a little bombarded with them. I just need to keep checking to see how they are selling.0

Tomorrow I can pay a little off MasterCard which will be good, next week will be better as I can take a nice chunk off barclaycard, which will be fab.0

Well done with the ebay sales.0

I have paid a little off of mastercard, it wasn't much but it all makes a difference. Next fridays payday is the one that i am waiting for asit will almost clear barclaycard, so i am looking forward to that.
I have added a couple more things to ebay, so lets see how they go.0 -
I rang up the work today and got some more weekend shifts, so I am booked up until the end of the month, they don't go to far in advance so I need to ring every week, which I am doing already. The shifts I have got should pay off virgin aswell as barclaycard, so that is a really good thing.
Does anyone know when the two month council tax break is, is it February and march or march and April.0 -
I am tired today, i always am after working the weekend especially evenings, although saying that, the shift i did last night was really calm, as it was on a ward that is being closed down there were only 8 patients, but there was also 5 members of staff, how crazy is that considering other parts of the hospital are crying out for more staff.
I have made another £30 from ebay, i ould have liked a bit more but we cant win them all.0 -
I had a rubbish week last week for dealing with debt, the £200 wages that i got on friday had to go straight into joint account to cover extra things coming out, it was meant to be the big chunk that was due to come off of barclaycard, but instead it covered my sons nursery fees for last term. I had assumed that these already came out of the account in december, as normally once you pay them they are out within a couple of days, but they didnt so arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Anywat there is nothing i can do about it, alls i can do is wait until this friday and make a payment to barclaycard when i get paid. Its just so annoying.0 -
I'm with you on that one - I hate when things are supposed to come out and they dont:mad:. Fear not tho friday is in sight - pay day yey!! I hate jan as it is such a lllooonnnngg month and there are so many sale temptations. I am in my overdraft £80 so hoping that with feb being a short month can sort it out for the next pay day - fingers crossed.
Keep up the good work tho you are getting there

thanks pinky, i have a better plan for february, its simple and probably what most do already but im slow on the uptake.
I am going to:
1) work out full total for all payments going out of joint account
2) order monthly food shop online
3) withdraw all the remaining money that is available, and split to be used for weekly shopping etc, this way i wont over spend by using card to pay
4) Pay for daughters school dinners at the beginning of each month, she only has it once or twice a week so £15 a month should cover it
luckily february is a slightly shorter month, and luckily we get a break from paying council tax, this is perfect timing as this money can be used for my daughters birthday which is in feb.
I figure that if i withdraw the money i have available once all payments are made, then it should be a little easier to control the spending as i can physically see the money left in my purse, i am hoping this way works, i will let you know each week in february.0
