Hi there Katy and welcome! It sounds like you have got loads done! I love your cracker idea, it will be lovely!
I love the wedding websites, we have a facebook group for all our guests, which is quite apt as we got back together through facebook lol! Although we have known each other for 17 years and were very good friends at school!
I frequently feel like there is still loads to do, although there probably isn't, and yes it is lots of fun!
Chris, I got them from the haberdashery shop in town, I will message you about them!
How is everyone else doing?

Hi katy, welcome to our lovely December thread :-)
Tiger your bouqeuts are gorgeous, well done for doing them yourself.
Good idea about the facebook group I think I'll have to do that.
Well we went looking for rings today and I didn't see anything I fancied! I really want or rather I'm going to have white gold but everything I've come across so far is too expensive!
This weekend I'm determined to get all the evening invites written up so they can start to go out next week. I've not even thought about my hair yet....!
I've got another dress fitting this wednesday can't wait for that! And I'm back to square one with the ladies favours! I've seen a fab wedding cake if you want to see it PM your e-mail address and I will e-mail it through!:xmassmile Looking forward to December:xmassmile0 -
Hi hels, have pm'd you!
Wow everything is moving quickly for you now. Hope you have lots of fun at your dress fitting!
I got both our wedding rings from Ebay and they cost £100 altogether. Mine is 18ct white gold and was brand new form Italy. I love it, it is very thin because I have tiny fingers and there is no room. All the rings I tried on in the shops were too think, mine is 1.9mm, but there is even a little diamond in it, I think it was around £50 with the delivery
H2B's ring was from Elma jewellery on Ebay and was about £40. It is 5mm and 9ct white gold. It isn't really thick, but it is a d shape and it's gorgeous. He doesn't wear jeweelery at the best of times, so this is perfect for him. If you want more info let me know Hels!
Why are you back to square one with the favours?

Hi Tiger,
I've e-mailed you!
I'm just having having a look on ebay, sounds really promising! We've been out looking today and everywhere is so expensive!
H2B thought my snowflake idea was a little tacky, so I'm back to the drawing board! How are you and everyone else getting on?:xmassmile Looking forward to December:xmassmile0 -
Hey Hels, I got your email, but my word is playing up so am having to wait until later to look at the pics because it normally corrects itself after awhile!! Very annoying!!
I have sowflakes on the back of my name tags, they aren't really noticeable but just fill the balnk space on the back
Have you thought about the baubles I have made. They are really easy to do, you just need some baubles, ribbon printed with your names and wedding date on and some card and a hole punch. If you want anymore info on them let me know!
Well nearly everyone has accepted thier invitations so I have started organising them into tables, which is proving very difficult. I got a really good free template, let me know if you want it, I can't hink of the link right now lol!
I am sick of everything being expensive, ebay are sponsoring our wedding, lol, nearly everything I have got is from there. I have loads more pics in my wedding thread on here, so will try and transfer them over, or if it's easier and you want a nosy search for Tiger's wedding thread!
How is everyone and I hope you all have a nice bank holiday!!

Hi Tiger
I really like your bauble idea I may just "borrow" that idea! So simple but effective, did you get your printed ribbon from ebay?
I'm going to order our rings from Elma I can't believe how cheap they are and they look stunning, the feedback is 100% so feel confident ordering with the, thank you so much for sharing you are saving me a fortune:j
Oh there's exciting you've had all your RSVPS back, I'm not looking forward to organising the tables!
Awh I'll have to find your wedding thread I need some inspiration!!
Here's my dress, it's the red one but I've ordered mine in Ivory!

Hey Hels here is the link to my other thread
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1596347
There are pictures on there of H2B's ring so you can get some idea of whta they are like in real life. I really am happy with them, the quality is fantastic for the price!!
I got the ribbon on Ebay from a shop called pawz and ribbons I think they also have a website!
The ribbon is fab quality I ordered 5metres but will need another 15 meteres to finish the baubles as I only have 20 made so far!! Altogether there will be 70!
I got the baubles on ebay it was £3 ish for 48 and then I just stuck dimantes all over them to fit with my theme. The pics of them really don't do them justice!
The table plan is a nightmare, but it is slowly getting there, I have two tables completely sorted, which leaves four to do lol!!
I'm really pleased you have saved money aswell. it's great!

Hi all, I to am a December bride so can I join in to please!!!!
We are getting married on 31st December and I am just getting round to doing my invites this week, feel like I need to get them out as people are bound to start making plans for new year, we did send out save the date cards months ago but still want to get the invites out soon.
Love some of the ideas you guys are using. we are trying to steer away from the xmas theme as I think most people are sick of xmas by new years eve, well I know i am anyway!!
So we have chosen blue as our theme colour and my dress is a light gold/champagne colour.
Must say I am quite frightened at how much some of you have done already, I feel like I still have LOADS to do!!
Think it will all be easier once the invites are out and people start to RSVP back so we can have ideas of numbers, we are looking at 70-80 for the day then 120 for the evening.
We have also set up a wedding website, think they are great!!! My invites are quite small and we have a lot of friends and family that are traveling so the website is great to stick all the hotel info and directions etc!!
Well i am off to start the invites, wish me luck lol!!!!0 -
Hi Lucylouwoo and welcome. Your wedding theme sounds gorgeous, loving the blue with the champagne!
Good luck with your invites, have you made them yourself. Please post pics as we are a very nosey lot, lol!!
