  • Hi there talulahbeige, when is your wedding?

I sent my invites out about 3 weeks for the same reason as Rosie and hels, we are only having 70 at the reception and the people we have invited we really want there so by sending them out now we can make sure they aren't booked up with Christmas parties!

A wedding in Whistler sounds amazing Sandford6016! I would love snow, but I am trying not to wish for it too much!!!

I finished printing my table names last night and we have decided on Cupid, Rudolph, vixen, blitzen, dancer and comet! I used scriptina font for them and they look fab. I just need some silver card to back them on now!

I have finished 20 out of the 70 baubles, but have run out of the ribbon and need to order more to finish them! The ones I have made look great though, and I am realy pleased with them.

I need to go and find some sticks for my centrepieces this week but it is pouring down up here and a bit wet to go to the woods!!

Where is everyone from? I'm from Carlisle and getting married at

  • Wow Lydia, you must be really relaxed, I couldn't leave all that to the last minute!! Mind you, I still have to see my hairdresser and we are waiting until after Christmas to find a honeymoon!

Where are you getting your dress from? I got my rings from Ebay and love them. They cost £100 altogether. Mine is 18ct white gold and was made in Italy, it has a tiny diamond on it, and OH's is 9ct white gold plain d shape 4mm band. They are both brand new, I got them from ebay shops.

Where are you getting married Lydia.

    kelda what lovely favours!
The only reason they are going is September is because of Christmas, I don't want people being booked up and not able to come because of xmas parties etc!

That's a thought.. perhaps i should be more organised!!

I've just bought my dress today, a Tag watch for my OH as a wedding present, we bought his wedding ring and mine is being specially designed, both in platinum.

We're getting married in The Peak District in a manor house

  • Yay I have a date buddy! Welcome head_in_clouds! Banff sounds amazing. I am having silk ivory roses that were in Dunelm for £4.99!! I have put some burgundy ribbon around the stems and a crystal pin in each rose and they look lovely. I am going to get round to posting some pics tomorrow, terrible headache tonight!

White tulips and mistletoe sound fanatstic!!

Lydia you have done loads! Where are you getting your dress from. Your venue looks stunning, I love the pic with all the frost, it is truly beautiful!

Well tonight I have made my table names, it only took and hour so I was quite pleased! They are A5 silver card with ivory card mounted onto them a little bit smaller so the silver shows. I have printed each name onto the ivory card and stuck three diamantes underneath each name. Really pleased with them!!

  • Wow Hels is it your birthdy on the 5th! That's brill! I'm a little bit organised lol! I have finished making my table plan but haevn't put names on it yeet as it's a bit early! Have also made an order of the day for the ceremony guests to show what is happening when as we aren't having a big meal so they might be a little confused!! I have done 15 copies, one for each couple and just printed them on ivory A5 card and stuck some more diamantes on!

Still got loads to sort out! My Mum has now very kindly volunteered to buy us the cake as our wedding present and knows a lady who makes beautiful cakes. I'm going to see her on Monday and have been looking at the idea of a 3 tier with white icing and decorated with maltesers. We want something quirky, which is why we were having a doughnut cake was quite appealing to us, but now Mum has volunteered to pay it has changed our minds!! I will be spending a lot of time on google images today looking for inspiration. OUt of interest what are you all having as your cake?

My Mum decided she was paying for our cake too.. a M&S one wasn't good enough!

My H2B chose ours. It's an iced white cake with lots of cartoon snow men on it with colours to match the BMs etc!
Although i chose the flavours (bottom tier vanilla, middle chocolate & top carrot)
