    I'm getting married on 19 Dec in our village church. We're having a meal for 35 people in a gorgeous country pub (log fires, mulled wine, roast goose - all very wintery), followed by an evening reception for about 70.
    Oh, and I'm having a red dress, which I absolutely love: http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=J1076

    Kelda, your venue is absolutely stunning! It will be beautiful for a winter wedding!

    Hi there Hels, nice to meet you, where are you getting married?

    Welcome Primarni Princess, I love your thread, and I am sure we will all get loads of fab ideas!

    Hiya Rosie, your wedding sounds beautiful and I love your idea of the red dress, I would have loved that but not brave enough. It will look stunning!

    Thankyou tiger! :beer:

    It's a lovely wee hotel so I'm chuffed with it and decent pricing for what it is too... not OTT which is good since I'm trying my very best to be MSE!

    i got a quote yesterday for 6 people to get their hair put up... £350 plus another £15 for my trail!!

    :rolleyes::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rolleyes:

    "Cos we have to come to the hotel and cos its right after xmas"

    .......they just priced themsleves out of a job! The most Iw as prepared to pay was £20 each with maybe me a little bit more.. So like £135 tops!!

    we've been told we can take stuff from th xmas menu for our meal, but dont think we'll tae the taditional roast turkey as folk will probably want a chaneg what with us being right in themiddle of xmas and new year!!

    Thanks - I love my dress, but am starting to worry that I will enter the church to gasps of shock! I actually rang the vicar to get his OK before putting down the deposit!

    Another red bride - hooray! Do you know what you're having for your bouquet? I've found that the downside of a red dress is that there aren't many flowers that match it - they'd have to be white or red as far as I can see.
