Strange spending paralysis...

Oh Lynz, what can I say?!
Only to echo that it's an investment. Look after your new garden furniture and you will have years of enjoyment from it - you are buying it once and with money you have. Carpets for your home are an investment for the future returns from selling.
It'll be different if you have children - I won't buy/replace anything for the house until I know it won't get jumped on/spilt on/pushed over/scratched/ broken - so I guess that's when DS leaves home! :rotfl:Back on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/180 -
Glad to see you managed to buy some of the items you wanted to get Lynz. I know what you mean about spending money, I seem to get tighter with money every day. We have just sold our touring caravan, and have £1500. I would put it all on paying the debt off, but our garden desperately needs doing, so we have put aside half of it for the garden and it is starting to look good already. We also have a holiday coming up and our two upstairs windows are rotting, so we could really do with replacing them. But at least now nothing goes on credit and we look for the best deals. Wouldn't have done that before coming on this site.

Thanks for this thread, I now feel much less guilty about spending nearly £50 on a new suit & a pair of shoes today! My justification is that I haven't bought a suit for work since May 05, I'll wear it to death & it was only £25 plus VAT from Costco. As for the shoes erm ....actually the lining has gone funny on my old pair & is giving me blisters.
Here's hoping we get a nice summer so you get good value for money from your new garden furniture!0 -
GAH bloody typical
I get home to find some circular from LX direct, giving me £20 off an order over £45. Lo & behold the same set, except comes WITH the parasol for 79.99 in the sale and thus a further £20 off. So saving me a grand total of £35 cos I dont have to buy the parasol either!! AND THEY DO NEXT DAY DELIVERY!! Not by the 8th of may like the woolies one
Needless to say Ive removed my CC details from the woolworths site & emailed them to say I no longer want it- and need to phone them tomorrow
Theres always a better deal round the corner isnt there, :money::beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Thanks Lynz, I think you've got a better deal with the other one, there isn't room for all that OS food to be laid out on the LX Direct one as its smaller.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0
