not having much luck finding reasonably priced places for lunch - any suggestions ?
Depending how near you are to certain places...
Christ The Cornerstone church has a small cafe! (Never been so don't know prices).
Shops that sell sandwiches include M & S and BHS. And the Market has a Cafe with in it.
The Bus station has a cafe. (Again I've never been in there)
Wetherspoons (Xscape Building and 201 Midsummer Blvd) do a cheapest Menu at Lunch!
Alternatively, make your own sandwiches and take them with you!

Apparently Habitat have a 20% off night this Wed between 6 & 9pm.
I need some lights but are waiting until Wed on the hope of getting them cheaper.
Best wishes

The new Borders store are giving out vouchers when you buy something - £5 off a £30 spend valid from 02/12.
This is the new store by Mac Donalds on the A5/H5 roundaboutPlease forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -

We went on Sunday, and they were also giving out 15% off coupons (for one non-promoted product of our choice), activated by a freephone number - on which you had to 'review' your shopping experience at Borders (to a very Americanised automated machine!).
I think I'm going to love having Borders in town (my wallet won't, mind!)
The £5 off £30 expires on the 8th December though.0 -
Have a couple of watches to have batteries replaced, but got quoted £7.95 in Debs.
Do any of you know anywhere cheaper - but with good quality batteries which will last.
Thanks0 -
You could always try the Time Machine down behind House of Fraser... failing that, I've used a couple of stalls on the market before who usually offer a choice of batteries (one of these choices will be a branded name). Can't recollect how much I paid, but it was a fair while ago (which says much for the batteries ;-))0

A good place for sandwiches is Bon Viveur in the CBX building just opposite Debenhams in the direction of the train station. There is also a newsagents, and a chinese where you can get a takeout for as little as £3.80!
Seeing as I am in this thread, did anyone hear about that man found dead in the bushes outside the police station!? Its a bit worrying considering there was a shooting outside it a few months ago...!0
