I'm pretty sure that Kingston's removed theirs - there used to be one in the cheese / dairy aisle, and that's gone. The other one was up in the cereal aisle, or possible the next one along... and last time I looked, that wasn't there either.

Maybe they're re-doing them... or maybe they've done away with them!

Put simply, and I think all other MKers on this thread will agree with me, there is no 'quick exit'. Many of the roads around the Bowl are closed, and unless you're willing to walk a good mile or so, the traffic around the closed roads will be horrendous too. There will be two, possibly three routes out to the M1, but only one route Westwards Oxford way.

It all depends on where you're parking as well... I can suggest roads that will take up up, out and away from the Bowl and probably the majority of the traffic, but it will be busy there because the rest of MK will use those roads to avoid the traffic!!

Essentially, the roads that the signposts direct people to and from are the ones to avoid: H7 Chaffron Way, H6 Childs Way, V4 Watling Street, V6 Grafton Street.

If you are going South on the M1, I would suggest travelling South on any V road and then East (left turn) onto the H8 or H9 - this will take you out towards Bedford and the A421, and eventually to junction 13 of the M1.

Much of the traffic will be directed onto the A5 - especially those heading North - but it may be worthwhile if you are directed onto the V6 to head North instead of South, and pick up the A5 further North near the National Hockey Stadium (all signposted).

Also, all visitors to MK please read the notice of closed roads (or read $17mma's post # 168), and to become familiar with our road naming system and the grid road system, please read this.

It might be worth printing this to take with you!

The A421 leads to Juction 13 and Bedford in the south of the city! The A422 leads to Bedford from the north of the city.

Does anyone know whether they are going to shut off Furzdon Lake. (reason I ask is apparently years ago when someone "big" was here you couldnt get in the Lake. I was seriously thinking of walking the children up with a Picnic (depending on weather) and listening to him.

    What do you think ?
I think they have done it in the past although not sure if they are doing it this weekend. Although I have to say when I went to the Oasis gig last year, the area around Furzton Lake was really busy and not particularly nice to have a picnic in due to the rubbish left by others and people peeing in bushes. While it is obviously a different crowd for Robbie, I am not sure about the rubbish collecting arrangements during the day etc.
