I am thinking about booking tickets for a play at the MK Theatre - is there any way of saving a few £s? Eg deals or vouchers anywhere?
Thanks in advance.
I friend of mine often books groups of people, by finding how many people you need to get a reduced price and then asking around to see if she can get a group together! Which 9 times out of 10 she does!
I'm not sure if there are other ways unless you join the 'Friends' of the theatre, but thats only beneficial if you intend to go regularly.

Wow - it's huge! Much bigger than I was expecting, I must admit. If noodles are your thing, there's just about every type available in China/Japan/Thailand here...
It's quite dark and typically just a warehouse with some freezers and shelving units within holding masses of stock. I couldn't count the amounts of different sauces and noodles they had there.
To give an example, there were packets of instant noodles, dried noodles (like Sharwoods-style ones but Chinese named ones) - egg and rice. There was three rows of freezer foods with some ready-made Chinese dishes in, and also ready-to-fry spring rolls, amongst other things.
Also a wide variety of vegetables in a chiller at the back, as well as cold deli-style items.
Prices? Well I paid £1.50 for half a litre of rice wine vinegar, £1.50 for a 300ml bottle of oyster sauce and about £1 for a bottle of sesame oil. Quite reasonable, I thought... considering I can never find these things in Tesco.
They have a website too, but it is very basic (just pictures and maps really)

I'll definitely go back

meeps wrote:knew I had kept a leaflet for one and have dug it out- hope she won't mind me posting her details but hey its advertising- hair by suzanne, city and guilds, fully insured mobile hairdresser. prices £12-£22 for cuts 07711 901310
Met Suzanne on Thursday night - usually she only works Monday and Wednesday evenings but fitted us in as we implored with her! (well, I was off to a graduation on Friday and had to look my best)
Lovely lady, very thorough and meticulous in her cutting - rather than being the type of hairdresser who you say: "an inch" and proceeds to lop an inch off and then tidies it up (so you end up with an inch and a half off), she cuts very carefully and in such tiny measures. She's been cutting for over 20 years and says she still really loves doing it.
My hair behaved itself the next day too (always a sign of a better haircut). I'm really impressed.
Our wet cuts were £12, a restyle is £15, and Suzanne also does colours and (I think) perms. We have one of her leaflets like Meeps does - but I've left it at my mother's.
Overall, highly recommended, and I'll be ringing her in 10-12 weeks asking her to come back to tidy it all up!0 -

Wagamamas are moving their summer promotions to the local press - in our case the MK Citizen (would be useful if I ever got one).
Their members area says that there will be 2-4-1 deals over the summer, and says that anything that's available will be advertised in the Citizen between the 20th July and 7th September. Just in time for School Holidays!
(as an aside, am I the only one who looks forward to summer hols? You wouldn't believe how much work I actually get done in school without teachers and children around! Here speaks a bitter support staff employee!)0 -
Milton Keynes Citizen - Go! Supplement - Page 22.
Blue coupon - cut out and take with you to Wagamama's - present to server before ordering.
Valid until 26th July.
See you there!0 -
I don't know if anyone has seen the board outside The Swan at Woburn Sands (an Out and Out restaurant(posh beefeater!)), but over the summer they are doing 2 courses for two people plus a bottle of wine for £20, Monday- Thursday.
I think that's a really good offer - the food is lovely!0 -

Can anyone give me the number for the MK citizen - we have not received anything except the property supplement for weeks.MFIT No. 810
