Hi all,
Please help me out, my wireless internet is not working . I have tried reseting the router via the 'reset button'. This all hapened because I decided to update the fireware, I updated via the ethernet cable NOT the via the wireless connection as told by the vendor, so what went wrong. I cannot even get to the IP address 192.168.0.1 to view the settings. The WLAN light is not lighting up and on the computer, it is displaying limited connectivity. Please help me!!!! And thanks in advance.
BTW, I'm on Windows Vista and the wireless router is D-Link DI-524.

have you held the reset button for 5 -7 seconds? if that doesnt work, goto start, then in the search box type "cmd" and hit enter, then type, "ipconfig /all"
copy all the settings into here if you can0 -

Do you have a back up explorer?0
-
What about a system restore?0

Did you get a message to say that the firmware update was successful?
Are you sure that you used the correct firmware for your router?
Have you powered down the router and then reapplied the power again? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
I'm am trying a system restore at the moment. As for the firmware update, it went through, I believe. The router loaded, then it restarted, afterwards it self-restarted. I am pretty sure it is the correct firmware. Powered on/off, no avail.0
