:rotfl: Well it gets rid of the guilt
Well you could ebay the old t-shirts and buy pretty work clothes there too - making it neutral instead?
Oi sharron, just thoughtshouldn't we have a link to your ebay seller profile, you know just in case we can help you with your cause by buying what you want rid of? Pretty please
This is my plan, although the T-shirts won't go on eBay for a while yet as I'm away for two weekends on the trot.

That's why I posted it as a spolier - didn't want to make your plan even harder love!
Aww, so here's a question, if you aren't buying clothes for a year, what are you going to do on girly days out shopping? Just not do them or go to stores that don't have clothes? Was curious about that! The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Hi plushroom, i don't really do girly days out shopping, i prefer to shop alone. I have 3 sons who hate shopping. My dd LOVES it, but that's easy, i will only take her when she needs something. I tend to shop when i'm a bit down or stressed, so they are my trigger points, i need to find something else to do in those situations. Suggestions please????
Appreciated the hiding of your new dress:A

I tend to shop alone too, makes me feel better that way. Perhaps instead you could go for a walk somewhere nice or visit local museums - still getting out like you would shopping just not hitting the stores.

Read, do craft work, go for a drive, go to the cinema (it's cheaper during the day as well!), mend/customise your existing clothes so it's like shopping i.e. you have a new garment at the end of it.
Or go out walking, cycling or swimming. Then you'll be skinny enough for the new clothes you start buying in August 2010!Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Sharron, have you thought about taking a dressmaking course and making your own stuff?
It's something I really want to do as I love making my own jewellery (this is something you can do so easily, no course needed! Just buy your bits online and get started) and want to branch out into clothing. I can sew and knit (a bit!) and make little things like purses, bags, cushions, etc (easy things) but really would love to make dresses from vintage fabrics.
There would be the initial outlay of buying fabrics and stuff, but even if you just took up something easy like jewellery making or customising, it'll give you a whole new item without you having to spend!
Or create a look book... I like to buy mags like Vogue, Elle, etc for inspiration. When I've finished reading I cut out my favourite items and create 'look books' of bits and pieces I love. This way you get the experience of browsing through clothes and the joy of creating outfits by cutting bits out and pairing them with other bits!0 -
Sharon you are so organised, I despair of my wardrobe and I have had a little sort out and the following items I have purchaed during the last 6 months need altering, everything is far too long. SIL has a sewing machine and has offered to make the necessary adjustments.
These all need shortening
Skinny jeans
bootflare jeans
brown tweed trousers
black tweed trousers
navy trousers
white linen trousers (bought for the summer )
black linen trousers (bought for the summer )
Yoga/jog bottoms
black skirt
brown skirt
brown linen skirt
I could do with some brown shoes but have decided to dye a pair of mary jane's that are a bronze colour very :money:0 -
It's so much easier being a man. Not buying any clothes for 365 days is so trivially easy it'd hardly be worth a mention!Stompa0
