    I try to be Ebay neutral by only spending what is in my Paypal account ;)

    Isn't that what Child Benefit is for?! :p Maybe you can follow the same principle for her clothes,using your CB?

    Not a bad idea actually!!!!! although her child benefit and more is used to fund her ever growing social life:rotfl:

    So floss, do you not spend any new money on clothes at all??? or is it just for ebay spends???

    It just seem all my rationalle (sp) goes out of the window where dd is concerned, i know she doesn't NEED but i see things i know she'd love and buy it anyway. I suppose part of the challenge is only going when the kids NEED clothes, that way i am limiting myself to the occassions i will purge iyswim?? This sound like therapy lol.....

    I do spend new money on clothes, mainly from Tesco (in with the shopping!) but I tend to buy them BNWT off Ebay, or in charity shops. It all stems from having been a single mum of teenagers, with very little to spare for new things for me so I try and make each £1 go as far as it can!

    :rotfl::rotfl:LOVE IT!!!!

    I am feeling a bit like that today actually!!
    Had a good tidy out of wardrobe and have about 10 items and 2 pairs of shoes to ebay today.

    Floss, totally understand the teenager thing. As our eldest two have got older we seem to have less money. Their social life is what costs us the most. Although i would rather they were doing stuff than hanging round the streets, so i suppose i can't complain. This will set to continue as i think they are both going to university. I need to eeek out every frivolity. Clothes (that we don't need) is one of them!!!!

  • Good luck sharon, i'll be with you in spirit :T:T:T
    • whoops!! sealed pot opened!!! for holiday stuff, £360, an i BLEW it:D
  • I really want to be able to do this. Clothes and social life is where all my money goes. I feel like such a waster! Must find the capsule thread now for inspiration.
  • Day 2: 7 items listed on ebay, have 5 more and two pairs of shoes to list tommorrow.

    Today i dyed a couple of white vest tops (and sons t-shirts) that were looking a bit grubby, really pleased with the result!!!

    Just sorting out my accessories as we have been to ikea for some new chest of drawers. will post-up pix later on!!!

    emma, go on join in, it will be fun!!!!
