Just had a quick skim and forgot to quote so i'll see what i can remember..

Honey...Rose only had a play gym that we were given so we went to a car boot sale on Sunday. We picked up some some bricks ( a bit like Weezl's actually, tho obviously not as nice ), and a couple of vtech soft toys that play tunes etc and also a baby walker...too soon i know but it had a piano type thing on it.

I spent all of £5 on everything i bought. Really didnt want to go to a toy shop and a) I dont think i could trust myslef and b) i didnt want to spend a fortune on toys i wasnt sure she would play with for long. Why not have a look, most things i saw looked almost brand new.

Caz...im so sorry to hear that. Hope you are able to sort something out quickly x

Tara..lovely pic by the way, she's gorgeous

MM...well done Dylan, bet you're over the moon. Your hard work seems to be paying off x

    Weezl....you're so kind and thoughtful!!!

Feelie...thanks for noticing I was missing!! I missed your post but caught it on a quote earlier today xx

Oh yeah, meant to say Honey... Aimee didn't have any toys at all until she was about 3 months old, then I bought her the basic rattle pack and a playschool light up kick thing from argos... I was a lone parent and it was all I could afford... And I don't know how anyone can say their 11 week old baby has outgrown a toy... The only thing 11 week old babies outgrow is clothes! Aimee still has 2 things from that basic rattle pack and she's 5!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Oh forgot to mention we have a playgym (ebay £7.20)

I have had to start strapping Kai to the cot with a sheet, as he keeps rolling all over it, then gets himself into funny positions/loses his dum and then start squealing!! pain in the bum he is:p

He likes to hold a muslim or fluffy blanket but kept pulling it over his head and than flapping like a fish out of water because he didn't know how to get it off...he does the same in the day. So I have tied a muslin around the bars of the cot and left a corner piece sticking into the cot...long enough for him to have a hold of it, but not enough to smother himself with it:rolleyes:

Funny baby he is;) I am going to get him weighed in the morning...probably for the last time as I can see he is perfectly healthy and growing well, I'm just nosey to see if he has managed to get himself off that 25th centile for weight!!

Me and oh always shuddered when people in movies get out of the shower and pit clothes on while wet!

I've trien xenical (alli) twice, and reuctil twice (appetite suppressants). Would try them again, but they cannot be prescribed now because of my history of depression. I'm pretty sure I fit the crieria, don't know if my age will be a problem.
oh I know damp skin dry clothes *shudder* another reason I don't like swimming!
I don't think ur age would be a major factor, maybe Weezl will know?
I'm not sure of the rules but surely its better now before your health is affected too much than in years to come when you could also need a new knee/heart/hip/liver.... IYKWIM xx
She does get sore sometimes Sami, but more likely when she's skidded her pants as well as peeing in them... She's a joy my daughter

Caz, I'm really sorry to hear about your landlady, especially after all the work you've done to the place! Its almost criminal!

ooh you're really selling Aimee today :rotfl:

My living room stinks of pooh! _pale_ Chris in his words "dun a pooh, a big one"

redmel - alexandra puts Raffi over her head when she sleeps too... 95% of the time if she's asleep then raffi is too! (mental note to self - buy more Raffi's!)

feely (or anyone else who knows) - do you know if there is any particular criteria for getting "diet" pills on the NHS and/or weightloss classes? I feel (and I think look) like a small (ok big) whale and although I try to get to the gym I feel like I need a kick start somehow  it's very odd but although I have never been happy with my body (despite DH saying he loves it cuddly bless him!) I outright loathe it now post baby... I keep covering it up in loose clothes rather than my more flattering old styles... I don't think I'm even much bigger than before - just changed shape! But I guess asking the GP for weightwatchers membership and/or diet pills to help the weight loss would be a start? But no point in asking if they won't give me any help if I don't fit the criteria IYKWIM??

I'm so looking forward to having an older kid with lots of big poohs and wees. So much to look forward to!

To be honest, I'd rather have intesive therapy for my eating problems, but they don't have the facilities to help people with anything other than severe anorexia here. You need a BMI of under 16 to be entitled to help.

If I remember rightly, you have to have a BMI of 30+ to get memberships to SW on the NHS....and I know that the only people we have handed out diet pills to are very obese people...especially middle aged men/woman. Or those with other medical issues cause by their weight

Feelie - Good luck with the childminder and I hope the GP can offer some kind of help (if that is the route you want to take)
Sami - How are you feeling today, any better?

TT CTN bottles, I'm with searching - any way up dependeding on how I grab it.

Forgot to tell you my conversation with OH the other night:
To set the scene: we have a crap alarm clock come telephone thing but the display is really bright and lights up the room (you can't turn it off ), sometimes OH covers it up if he struggles to sleep, as it's on his side, but then I don't know what time it it:
Baby wakes - need to know time, he could be hungry, could just want dummy...
    Me: what time is it?
    OH: sleepy grunt
    Me: what time is it?
    OH: sleepy grunt
Me: (get louder) what time is it???
    OH: I don't know, it's covered up
Me: (louder again) I know, that's why I'm asking
    OH: Oh, 10 past
Me: (louder again and getting stroppy) 10 PAST WHAT??
OH: 12 - but then turn his back to be pulling the duvet up over him, getting into a strop because I was being stroppy :rotfl:

Tine, I think the NICE Guidelines say that to be prescribed Orlistat or Reductil, you need a BMI of 30 or over (or 28 and over and 'risk factors'). Looking at your picture, I really don't think you'd qualify!!

Oh toys - Alex probably has more than she needs - but most of them are ones off her playmats that detatch :) she also has the spiral thingy that you can attach to prams, bouncy chairs etc - that was a pressie from nana when she was a week old :)
In fairness she mainly plays with Raffi (raffi IS the greatest toy ever!) or a current favourite is the old Sky remote (with batteries removed and thoroughly cleaned with AB wipes and sprays LOL)... Most of her "big" things are Ebay bargains although in her case of the WTP bouncy chair it was a hand-me-down from a friend. Missing it's toys from the bar but the spiral thingy comes in handy there :)
Personally at the moment I wouldn't donate toys etc to a toy library... what about all the swineflu??? Just tell them that if they ask you to donate. Say you don't have it but you don't agree with it given the current health risk associated with swineflu ;)
