Morning all! 6 pages between 10 last night and 1am (or 6.15 when I actually looked) this morning...

It's taken me this long to catch up, in between feeding Elijah breakfast (he ate so much of my croissant I have been forced to have a second one :A overall his breakfast is way bigger than mine!).

We waited about 3 months I think, but there were "non-sex" activities after 4 weeks or so... each to their own. Pretty infrequent for ages though, everyone's points about never having time, always having baby present, and mum feeling uninterested/unconfident in herself and body - I think is all very normal so no-one should feel bad, especially if there is communication with OH :)

I was just watching CBeebies happy birthday song and thinking of you MFD :) though you fit in to the "maybe more" category I guess :o Have a lovely birthday and a lovely holiday!

Hope Glam and Jack had a good night and hospital is happy, guess we won't hear for a while :/

How do you cut baby's finger nails? Please someone tell me before I just chop his hands off!! He's clawing at me to try to clamber up over my shoulder and leaving my skin stinging and itchy - no marks but feels like I have a rash :(

It was alright before - I'm guessing due to a lack of some vitamin or other - they just used to break off but now they're really solid. We've got baby nail clippers but neither of us dare use them :o

We were so terrified of this... we ignored it for a couple of months before the marks on OH's boobs were becoming an issue! Then we used baby nail scissors - but on about our third or fourth try, I cut his thumb and it bled for like... 20 minutes... nothing seemed to stop it, soaked through multiple plasters, sucking no good, etc :( it was horribly traumatic! Not for him though, he cried for a minute then was interested in all the fuss.
Anyway that scared us off for another month or two... we use the scissors still now but with great caution and as rarely as possible!
    Good luck! :)

Wow, everyone gets a Sunday lie-in except me! Hope you are all catching up on much-needed sleep :) I think I will try to take Elijah swimming for the first time this afternoon, he loves water so much we've really missed a trick not going earlier I think. I think we bought him some swim nappies but he might not fit them any more, I must go investigate.

Marathon catch up follows because I slept through/was with the monster through all the interesting bits :p

You wanna try making a big list like I've done.. Never seen OH so proactive!:D:p

I have a wonderful list, it really helped in the beginning but now Husband just expects me to tell him what to do and I get annoyed because I think he should check the list.
Haha she IS weird. OH says it's cause she is from Singapore, and they are very open and forward, would have no qualms about telling you, that you are fat!

A friend of mine worked in Japan, she wore a size 8UK but had proper boobs and was physically pushed out of shops by women shouting, Too fat, too fat! Fortunately she has self-esteem made of iron.

oh I meant to chirp up earlier, I think Sugar's dirndl is more like the one on the left ;)

It's definitely more like that ;) only everything is black and the blouse shows off my ruffly bra and breastfeeding boobs.
hhhmmm I think Chris might like my post baby boobies in one of those ;)

Dirndls are magic for any shape woman. They're the most flattering outfit there is. I wish I could wear one every day.
    i had relations .. ahemmmm ... 3 weeks after .... sorry but im highly strung :o x

How did you find the energy or the time?!

:p its everything, :o I feel fine about down there, not even scared that its all broken like I was after Chris but I have literally no interest at all - I've lost my mojo.
Allegedly its common when BFing to have reduce libido but I haven't heard of anyone else 'real' thats been affected

    :hello: :wall:
I just don't want to. I want to want to, if that makes sense.
    Ooo - it's my birthday :o just noticed :D

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Me too. Leaking from various orifices, being a dairy cow, it's all just not sexy.

Hugs to Glam and baby Jack, more hugs to anyone's babies who took dives off furniture, hugs to anyone who's hungover ... :grouphug:

The monster fed at midnight for 30 minutes, then nonstop from 2-5am, then at 6 and just now before 9. And Husband slept through her crying. I threw a !!!!!! fit last night because we had a cleaner come out a month ago to do a deep clean, with the idea that we'd be able to maintain a basic level of cleanliness, but he just doesn't care. The kitchen is frankly unsanitary, the area behind the monster's crib is stuffed with his dirty laundry, drifts of cat hair are piling up in the corners and I hate it. And then he started sniping at me in a really obnoxious way, talking to the baby so I'd hear him telling her that Mama's overreacting. And he saw me pumping after she'd finished eating, trying to get supply up rather than to get anything out, and made a comment about how she was clearly going to starve. He'd better be less of an a$$ today.

I hadn't expected a baby to be so bad for our relationship. I really do love him, but I'm tired and on edge, and things like a dirty house (rather than just untidy) really upset me and he knows it but doesn't fix it. And I know he's tired too, but he keeps telling me how tired he is and I just want to beat him with a pillow for saying it to me because I'm doing all the middle of the night stuff and not getting the sleep during the day either so it feels like it would if he had a splinter and I'd had my arm chopped off and he was whinging to me that it hurt.

Oh, and he was talking to his ex on Facebook last night and got all indignant that she had major surgery and right after the anaesthetic wore off was given ibuprofen instead of proper painkillers. Which is exactly what happened after my C-section but he saw fit to rant to me about her pain. I'm genuinely sorry she was in pain, but so was I, you know?!

Bruno - enjoy swimming if you get there....will your OH be going with you too?

Kai has fallen asleep in his swing, so I might go and 'snuggle' with dh in bed for a bit....well it is our anniversary;)

Happy anniversary Mel :) and happy snuggling I hope :p

I dunno if OH will come, she may want some more me-time before I go back to work for the week... can see it might be easier at the pool with her there too though  we shall see.

I seem to be mediating between OH and my mum again this morning :( mum wrote last night asking if she could come visit on Wed or Thu, OH said definitely not because she is stressed about his day-time sleeps at the moment and it might make things worse, I wrote back a gently-worded no, mum wrote again this morning letting me know how badly she "needs" the visits and would like to make sure she can therefore visit the following week... OH not interested.... sigh yawn yay  Frankly neither of them are "in the right" so I am obliged to take OH's side but I wish she'd try a bit harder with my mum, for my sake!

Right, must unpack new vacuum cleaner.

Elle & Sugar *hugs* seams we all feel the same xx

MM - I'm sure Chris doesn't care what your tum looks like! Men never notice these things unless we point them out :) and I bet its nowhere near as bad as it looks to you IYKWIM

Sugar - does ur OH know how much you're up in the night? I'd be tempted to wake him up everytime I'm up and keep him up until I'm allowed to go to sleep too - she how chipper he is the next day then! :p

Krystal - Thanks for that halfprice lactavist link - I've ordered Ed the top with a cow on it :DI'd like to get more pro BF stuff but I think some of the lactavist stuff is a bit confontational if that makes sense? I like stuff that promotes BFing without possibly upsetting FF mums. (coz I was/am one :p)

Bruno could you maybe 'sell' your mum coming round to OH by saying ur mum can help and support her with it?

I'm so proud of Christoph right now! He's started to taste 'new' food with no cagouling, he tastes it before judging on looks :T and he's catching on to my new rule that he has to put the last toy away before getting a new one out :D AND he asked to and then did a wee on the toilet yesterday!:T *beam*
