Beanie, we looked at the Top 100 Girls and Boys list from National Statistics and then discounted the top 20 (Poppy was 28th and Jamie 37th in 2007) as we preferred not to have 'popular' names (even though I love the name Jack so thats Jamie's middle name
). We also wanted short names that [STRIKE]shouldn't[/STRIKE] couldn't be shortened further so we had fairly strict criteria! :rotfl:
We would both call out random names that we heard or read and mulled them over until we both agreed but we mostly left this until 20w after we knew what we were having.
I can't imagine not having a name chosen before the birth and my Mum always says that after a few days they could never be anything but their given name anyway.
We also kept the names between ourselves until the birth to avoid all the 'eugh, don't like that, what about this'? conversations.
ETA: except for spilling the beans in the Preg Thread lol. But if anyone hated 'Jamie' they kept quiet!

We did - but now i'm starting to think holidays aren't really holidays with three children! (This is after me spending the afternoon throwing up on the boat, coming home and washing continuously (5th load is in as we speak), and thinking I only have one day to get childrens uniforms ironed/bags packed etc for school on Thursday).:beer:0 -
Nice when it happens though MDW. xToo many children, too little time!!!0

Not a huge amount really, I don't think..
A few arguments (not amongst us!), a few PITA OH's, a few wonderful OH's, newcomers: fairydawn and ChrisCobra (another daddy!), lots of non-sleepy babies, a few sleepy babies, latest round of jabs so grouchy babies to follow, lots of weaning talk and rmac and MFD have booked holidays for next week (I think)..
Apologies if I've missed someone's major news out!
ETA: Sorry, did you have a good hols?
I am always so impressed with your memory Elle - in my mind you sit there with a little notepad and a calendar so that you always remember what is going on for all of us....because of course in my mind you do not have a baby to look after :whistle: I am sure Rhys just looks after himself
3 - you have been missed! It has been very quiet without you
SB - are you EVER going to tell us about Jamie's christening???:D
