Does anyone recall seeing small newborn clothes? Rhys is in mostly Tesco "Early Baby" now which is upto 7.5lbs. In some shops new born is 7lb but in others 11lb is considered newborn  Just thinking where to buy his next lot of clothes from...

That's soo. Not an old lady name I know about 10 helens and only one is above 30!

MFD I think your thinking of the TT ones they were sellling them off in tesco so maybe been discontinued. Chris has a WTP on I got in wilkinsons but i'd say they're too bulky for a baby. Firebox have ones that look better for babes but are expensive

Sugar i recommend breast shells to collect the milk you leak from the boob ur not feeding from, I leak upto 2 floz when 'full' if you used them at most feeds you would prob get anything from 3-10 floz per day. Just don't do what I did this morning and pop it in ur bra upside down:doh: we were both soaked!!!

I just searched on Asda's website for a size guide. Didn't find one, but I did find these - jeans in mid-sizes, 11, 13 and 15! Have always said I was a 7 and now a 9..

Thanks hun. I can't believe it. I'd already measured out four scoops and told him earlier in the day the pot had four scoops in but he obviously forgot what I'd said ....
We used to do a couple of scoops less when Fergie was a bit constipated, sometimes runny milk went down better than cooled boiled water!

A friend of a friend does 100% formula feeds and she only gives her baby the ready cartons. She reckons that it costs her £21 a week to buy the cartons
What has she got against the powder? It's not that faffy!? And as MFD says the cartons have their own faffiness :)

Hmmmn, definately not next newborn or mothercare, those are whopping! I think tesco baby first size are quite little.

Welsh fairies have spares elle, just pm me? :)

sleep: Well, at weezl towers our sleep blip continues. It's been about a fortnight. He's really not up for the dream feed any more, but wakes around 3 times a night. He doesn't cry out, but instead whiles away the time by bringing both legs right back to touching his nose and then 'thud!' thwacking then down onto the cot mattress. Wooden cot, sanded wooden floorboards. Thin cot mattress.

Thinking we might try him in the travel cot on a rug tonight. Only problem as a longer term solution is our backs will get really bad cos it's so low to reach down to him!

Morning all. Toby slept an amazing 7 hours last night, but decided that 6:30am was wake up time! He led face down in his cot singing to himself for a while, but I was too worried about him suffocating to sleep, so we are both now downstairs. He has hiccups again. He had them loads while in my belly, and still gets them a couple of times a day.

Weezl - Toby does the leg banging thing! He was in a plastic crib for a while and the sound was deafening! He isn't so bad now, but it still wakes me up. Hope you find a solution!

Feeding - He doesn't seem to like to like on his left side to nurse lying down, he keeps turning his head. How can I tell if it is something like an ear infection or something to worry about?

Cartons - when I decided to switch to formula, I decided on the cartons. Seemed worth the extra cost for the ease of it, I'm not good at going against guidelines, so powder seemed too much hassle to make up once a day. Decided to donate my cartons to a Mummy Friend, but knowing my luck Toby will decide he wants them as soon as I do.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Yawn yawn yawn. Was out all yesterday, had hopes cuz Sat was a good day, but it seems didn't go too well; Elijah fell asleep in bed on the booby at 9am for an hour, then didn't sleep the rest of the day!
OH made a concerted effort around 1.30/2 when he looked exhausted, but gave up when my mum came to visit. Then at 3.30 she tried again, and ended up leaving him in cot to scream for an hour :( controlled crying is bad enough, but it didn't even work at all :/ sigh.

When I got home after his normal bedtime he was still wide awake and haring around the house. Eventually he went down at 8.45ish, which is at least an hour later than normal, and nearly 11 hours after his last nap ... on the bright side he then slept through the night from 8.45 until 7.30 this morning! :) I didn't get any extra sleep though, my alarm is set to go off at 6.45 Mon-Fri and I forgot turn it off for bank hol.... Gah!

    Morning ladies :)

The monster fed till 1:30 and then resumed yelling. Checked nappy, administered anti-wind goop, checked clothes for pointy things, cuddled, sang, nothing. Husband was convinced she was hungry; I was sure she was windy. He insisted I feed her, I pointed out that she had drained the boobs twenty minutes before and there was nothing left. He kept going on about it, I yelled at him, and he eventually figured out that 24 hours on no sleep and a perpetually screaming baby is enough. So he took her into the living room, closed both doors, and (once she had burped and farted enough methane to power a small country for a month) slept there with her on his chest. All night. I had 4 1/2 straight hours of sleep. Hurrah!

Doctor at 11am, then I am going to go into town and see if H&M Deutschland have those Superman babygrows and then see if I can figure out the German for "breast shells" and buy some.

Edit: my husband does the leg banging thing! He doesn't bring them up to his chest, but if he's reading or can't settle he starts doing it. Drives me insane.

Bruno, I'm not sure how big LO is, but you've mentioned using a sling while out and about. That wouldn't be an option for sleeping? Probably not, if wife is a fan of CIO/CC, as they are a bit polar opposites! I hope you find a solution soon.

Sugar, hope Docs and Shopping goes okay. Empty breasts fill up really fast, so don't worry about running out, or there not being enough for LO. They can always get a little bit more out if they need it!

Toby seems sleepy, so we are going to pop back to bed, hopefully get a little more sleep!
