I personally would love them to have a nice warm meal for lunch especially in the winter, and being for free is even better, will save me a bit of money of lunch foods too:) Anyway being that the kids friends have packed lunches they are both complaining because I have said they will go hot lunches from October onwards...what do you reckon, should I 'force' them to have hot lunches or just leave them having packs, like they have always had???
are they up for trying it for a week to see if they like the food and if it makes it tricky to sit with their best mates?

I'd give them a trial of hot meals... We're not entitled but I think even if we were Aimee would still have a lunch box, she nagged and nagged for hot dinners last year so we trialled them for a while and she just wasn't eating properly... She was deciding she didn't like the food and literally just having cake and custard for lunch and one day all she had was an apple... She was coming home starving hungry and in a rotten mood.... I put her back onto sandwiches, at least I know the food in her lunch box is food she likes and if she was hungry she would eat it... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I really like the name edgar, sami
DH worries a bit that 'fergus' might become 'fungus the bogeyman' to horrid school mates. My plan is to buy him the book before school and big up the character of fungus, so even if they call him that, he'll just say 'oh I have that book, it's cool!'
