If it's any consolation, i've never taken my girls on holiday. Neither mother could have gone on holiday without freaking about everything and these days I cannot afford for us all to go. Bad father
I hope to one day before they get too old, hopefully within a couple of years, even if it's only to Butlins or something :rolleyes:0 -
me and philip promised ourselves the first time we could afford a holiday it would be barbados where we'd get married ... very long time away me thinks ... to be honest motm i think id freak as well for some reason new things places and people can sometimes (not all the time) can really panic me x

MotM - nowt wrong with a camping trip!
Sadly hubby isn't a camping fan or we'd be away loads - baby and hound too
I love camping!
And if you get 2 large tents or 2 large and 1 small for you it'd probably be a hoot! I think you can even get 8/12 people tents is you wanted all the family to be in the tent together
Shouldn't work out too expensive with a little work and lots of freecycle requestsDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

The best holidays I ever had as a kid was a week in Devon and another in Wales. They are by far the most memorable.
There's a gnome reserve in Devon: http://www.gnomereserve.co.uk/ and I remember dancing in a circle with my friend and her mum and my mum and brother wearing gnome hats in the pouring rain. It was really magical. I cant wait to take Leila.Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0 -

I don't know about camping in a field. Not sure the girls would be too up for it. My girls like their hair clean and their beds indoors :rotfl:
I think they'd enjoy Butlins, but it's the cost of all of us and the size of chalet(s). Does anyone know if you pay per person or per chalet?0 -
My Dad was really into potholing when we were kids so we'd all get packed into a car and driven somewhere for a weekend of camping... Usually on a pub car park lol... We loved those camping trips! Once hubby or I can drive and get a car we'll be off every weekend in the summer!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
