Ah thanks:p
After much sole searching and tightening of purse strings I am taking until 4th November off. Given that I was supposed to go back to work after 6 weeks, Leila will be 20 weeks when I return, so I think we have done pretty well to stretch it that far.
I only made the final decision today when I signed the contract with the child minder and its the biggest weight off my mind ever. Now I really feel I can enjoy the rest of my maternity leave and concentrate on watching my little one grow.
When I go back i'll be working 4 days a week (working from home on Mondays) and I still have 2 weeks annual leave to take until the end of December. I am also looking for something part time (3 days a week) because it appears that I can get atleast what I am being paid now by my current firm which is a full time position.Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0 -

I didn't go on a proper holiday in a hotel until I was 17 and went with OH - I cried everyday because I was homesick and had a million panic attacks
I'm much better now though and love the skiing trips courtesy of my fab IL's :T
My fave childhood hol was the first time I went on a plane, we went to Jersey, the flights took so much of the budget we stayed in a tent but it was a great holiday0 -

we took the boat to the Isle of Mann every year for about 7 or 8 years and stayed in the same guest house. It was lovely, but was glad when we got London for a year, I got to see somewhere different !!The two best things I have done with my life

my hubby bought THIS film because you see Calleigh's boobs in it :rolleyes::p
:rotfl::rotfl:
I once saw the pictures on Google Images when I didn't have safe search on.
I'd probably be watching the film, she's about to reveal, then someone will burst in the room and go 'Daaaaaaaaaaad, can I....oh sorry Dad' and run out again0 -

The only thing left to do is to let work know!
They have been harrassing me for weeks through 'well-meaning' text messages (i.e hope you are enjoying your time at home with the little one. Can you give us some idea when you are coming back. No pressure or anything we just want some idea) and e-mails and even asking my husband when i'm coming back.
Now I can give them a date and they can leave me alone [STRIKE]to look for another job [/STRIKE] to enjoy my maternity leave in peace!Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0 -
