Hi Everyone,
Spent all evening catching up - you all talk way too much when I'm at work!
MFD - I went to Purto Rico (Gran Canaria) when about 12 years ago, you couldn't walk through the central bit without being accosted by timeshare touts - kind of ruined the holiday as we had to plan our route back up the valley avoiding them.
Redmel - congratulations on the uni place.
Childcare - I'd recommend childminders but I'm biased my mum is one has been since I was little. I prefer the home environment. It was handy having contacts last week as I needed someone to look after her just for 4 days (£30 a day/£3.50per hour) and she went out somewhere different everyday.
Mum and dad back of their holidays tomorrow - if they're back in time their first stop will be to see DD.
Need to harvest my strawberries and head to bed month end at work tomorrow busiest day of the month for the admin peeps.
MDW
P.S. I think Sami, Fritha and a few others live near me, I'm in Cheshire not that far from Warrington - if I didn't have to work I would have gatecrashed their meet up the other week.Proud to be dealing with my debts
DD Katie born April 2007!
3 years 9 months and proud of it
dreams do come true (eventually!)0 -
I caught up, neh neh neh neh neh.
Now I have to unpack - the worst part of going away. Somewhere in the bottom of the carrier bag with the baby stuff is her night light. When did going away for a night start to mean I would have to carry a night light around with me!
I emptied the baby changing bag this morning too and found 3 pairs of booties in it. She doesnt even wear the blimmin things, so why am I carrying them.
I am now officially one of those annoying people I have always hated that dont drive when the traffic lights turn green. Why? I hear you ask... because i'm too busy staring at my daughter/holding her hand/ trying to extract my finger from her hand after holding it/stroking Leila's hair/ straightening Leila in her car seat/ wiping Leila's dribble/ singing stupid songs at Leila (delete as appropriate).
Also at a loss what to sing or say to her when she began to whinge tonight when driving home, I admit to singing car number plates and road names. Am I the only one???Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0 -

Totally unrelated to parenthood, but i just wondered if anyone dyes their hair, and if so, are they like me and never ever remember which colour/number they last used :rotfl:
Everytime i do mine i seem to go a shade lighter cos i never remember what i last used. My hair is probably a multitude of shades, you'd think i would learn to keep a section of the box but no!0 -
Right I'll have to go lappy is about to die and I can't be [STRIKE]arsed[/STRIKE] bothered gettin out of bed to get the charger. How lazy, I know.
I found a fousty half eaten apple in El bag the other day yeuch:eek:Everyone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070 -
What kinda waterproof coat do you have? Berghaus and Helly hansen are "chav" aren't they, but that's the only waterproof coats I know off, and I nicked my sisters Helly hansen to wear as I don't have one, it's age 16 - get in! Anyhow OH says I look super chav in it, hehe.
Aw poor thing, can't be nice having mud in your mouth! We took Keira to duthie park yesterday and the floor in the garden bit is always soaked, should of seen the state of Keira's shoes and tights when we left, suprised she didn't catch a cold!

Yes.. *backs away slowly*:rotfl:
Nah, I'm forever singing whatever I'd usually say. Or changing the lyrics to the songs on the radio... for example, The Noisettes becomes "Go Rhysy, Go Rhysy, Go!"0 -
Almost none at all
