Hello
Realised I have not been good enough recentely and letting things slip too much. Debt it just under 2000k down from last year however then I remembered the od which is likley to be 600 ish at the end of next week (my month end) and I have 400 on the catalogue to be paid by April next year so really its closer to 1000. At least its doen but Im kicking myself for being so lax again.
Hoping to be organised and brave enough to update budget and figures and start a spending diary.
Off the moneysaving or lack of theme - DS school report was excellent he is working a year above for most things so proud mummy here. All three kids have doen well so planning to take them to the pictures as a well done.
DD2 got lost today went off our estate to a friends house and gost lost on the way back. She had no credit so couldnt call OH. She was smart enough to ring the police so at least she got home safe. Have warned not to be so silly again ref wandering off and 2 will ensure she has credit. Normally she stays close by so never really a prob ref credit we just text/call to say come back.
Really missing DD1 house so quiet without her. Back tomorrow at 1 - she left monday morning and not a word from her. They didnt allow mobiles and for once we stuck to it.
Still hoping to do car boot on Sunday so hope weather holds up.:j0 -
hi KP. I am much like yourself. My eye comes off the ball every now and again and I need to rein myself and my spending in quick smart. I am about £1000 down as well ( prob more but only talking about CC's here) but when I tot up what I have paid to get to that stage I get do damned angry at the money I am wasting on interest. I could be getting so much pleasure from spending that on my kids and nice holidays. THat's what pulls me back in line. I have had a big chat with both kids recently and explained that I need to knuckle down and pay these cards off so we can all have a nicer life. THey were both fine about it all as they see the need for it. Keep going. I will start a spending diary on MOnday and we can encourage each other along the way xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000 -
Hello :hello:
Well spent £26+22+3 = 51 on the kids yesterday for Mcds and cinema. The 3 is for a bottle of water DD2 insited on having for the film aaargh. If Id have known Id have brought something from home. Didnt because of Mcds. Anyways it was a treat for all three doing well at school so OH and I wanted to show them we were proud of them.
Up at 7 for the car boot today and made a profit of £37. £10 went to OH for is golf stuff that sold and £6 went to the girls (classed as this week's pocket money) so I got £21 :J:
OH in a bad mood as he is cleaning the inside of the car. We are car swapping with one of my colleagues for three weeks. They need teh seven seater and roof box for a holiday so I get an Aldi A3 to drive.
Still got to go to his Mums as its her birthday. OH doesnt do family really so another reason hes not happy.
Weekly shop came in at £44 which is almost half the usual. Did forget a couple of things but still happy.:j0 -
Hi KP, just catching up. Well done on your car boot profit this morning and sounds like you all had a nice day yesterday. I am taking DD to see Toy Story 3 next week for doing well in her report - I cant believe the price of it nowadays - I must be getting old!
Weekly shop amount is really good - well done on that.
Hope OH has cheered up this evening for you x x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Where did the time fly?
Weekly shop done early as I was lucky to get a surprise day off on friday. I had booked it but workload had looked to be too high for me to be able to take it. Anyways it came in at £55 so as long as there arent too many top ups its going well.
Started spending diary - well logged spends since friday on phone note pad. Nothing yesterday and soo close today but needed £1.70 for milk.
OH put DD1s new bed up yesterday so shes happy just DD2s to go. Got it for free from my friend but its in many pieces so will be an interesing task for OH. DD1s was in next doors garage so in larger sections.
DD2 is 10 tomorrow so will take her and friend to Oxford for shopping and iceskating. She has £70 left of teh £100 birthday budget - £30 went on a phone last week. She is aware everything(except parking) will come out of that including McDs if thats what she wants.
DD1 wants to come with friend to check out primark and next clearance. So may give her £20.
Swapped cars with a collegue for about 10 days. Its lovely but an automatic. Never driven one before so still getting used to it.
Better go DD1 and friend on singstar and its past bed time - well time for them to make me think they are asleep anyway.
:j0 -
Happy birthday to DD for tomorrow...hope you all have a lovely time.
Don't envy you having to build beds ...it's always a hard job.0 -
Hi KP. Hope the day went lovely for your DD. Sometimes it's nice to do something a bit different.
Well done on the spending diary. I think they are a great idea but I lose track then give up. Will be really interested to see how much it helps you KP. Might inspire me to try again.
