  • Yes they get paid for the odd job alongside the basic ones I expect like tidying their rooms and putting clothes away. That is how they paid towards their xmas outfits. They know money is tight so are quite good. I dont pay pocket money as such as its too expensive so I tend to prefer giving money for the extra jobs or if I feel they have been good.

Feeling carp about work. Feel like Im going nowhere fast but working as hard as I can. If I work harder then home suffers :(. I so wish my OH was not such as waste of space. I left at 6.30 this morning and came back at 6.30 pm and HE has had a hard day

  • try and reframe it - its a job, its pays money and millions would give their eye teeth for one, however mundane!

He had a good innings as he was early seventies but seems so healthy . Hope she will be ok this is the third husband/boyfriend she has lost :(.

  • Sorry to hear about your Mum's boyfriend, hope she is bearing up.

Hope I'm not being ignorant as I haven't read back but have you spoken to anyone at work about how fed up you are? I haven't had a pay rise for 3 years and keep being promised one, am waiting for a miracle to happen.........

  • She seems fine thanks, rang yesterday and she sounded fine my brother was here with her. I will see her at the weekend she is still having my nephew so wants DS as well. Thing is with Mum Im just likeher so she wil hide thingsand try to cope but let it get on top of her so need to watch out for that.

Work is ok in a period of transition with a new line manager. Thankfully it is a secure job and I have had a pay rise but been held at a grade due to the climate. So annoying when you work as hard as others paid way more but ISOM was right I have a job and it pays ok so should just shut up. Also I was tired from the long day and listened to stupid gossip again so will learn from that. at no payrise for 3 years though Id be so . Previously I have had to apply for other jobs to get noticed although that was in better times. Fingers crossed for you.

Hi ISOM I am ok. Been enjoying so time off work. Got a huge TO DO list on the wall and things going ok. Hit a bump today as Goldsmiths the shop are FAR too expensive seems they have a better range online. Prob is I have £220 in Tesco vouchers to spend. Plan B is to sell for £100 ish on ebay and get pressies that way. Spending time with OH has been nice too although Im sure he will be glad get back up the range again!
